Having booked my appointment more than a month in advance, I arrived on time the day of, only to have to wait nearly an hour to be called in. Once in the procedure room, I was hastily greeted by some type of assistant and then, moments later, by a PA called Nadia. I expected to see a doctor. The PA had almost zero bedside manner and rushed me through a manual scan of my moles and skin tags. Not once did anyone ask how I was doing throughout. The part that should've taken time was rushed, with the examination being done in under 5 minutes. Twice, the PA declared that because my areas of concern were "not medically necessary" (I'm assuming to warrant insurance-covered excision), I'd have to "pay out of pocket if that's what I'd like to do." Bedside manner is no byword here.

The staff is absolutely lovely and the doctors are very personable and interested in your story and what you would like to accomplish. They are very realistic about what is possible and will advise you with the greatest care. I highly recommend Westwood dermatology center!

I always enjoy my visit with Dr. Taheri. He is an expert who also is compassionate and kind. The staff is also very competent and kind.

They bill diagnostic vs preventative (even when insurance allows preventative) to maximize profit. This will cost you (the patient) $100s to $1000s instead of a simple copay

Hard to trust that this practice has their patients best interest in mind
