Caution and research need to be done before purchasing any extended coverages from this dealership.

We purchased an Impreza that was on the lot in mid-October and was told it was being sold for MSRP which we were satisfied with given the current situation of low inventory due to chip shortages. However, we recently started to look at purchasing a Forester and when we went back to this dealership and then did research found out that for the added security Gold Plus 10-year 100,000-mile agreement, we were charged 25% over what can be obtained through Subaru. This was disappointing to find out.

Originally since we were satisfied with our Impreza purchase, when we started to look at purchasing a Forester we made an appointment with the same sales representative after having been to a different dealership that we were satisfied with except he didn't seem to have maintenance plans available. Upon arrival, I was told that I was being handed off to his "big boss". There were many problems the interaction with this person and I ended up leaving without placing an order. Some of the details are:

When I talked about purchasing a Forester as a build and order, this individual said selling at MSRP would mean taking a loss. This is contradictory to the definition of MSRP which includes "The MSRP is supposed to reflect all costs incurred over the manufacturing and sales process; an average markup by retailers is also taken into account. Prices are set to allow all parties involved – the manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer to make a profit from the final sale." His comment is also inconsistent with the past where dealerships would sell below MSRP and still make a profit at certain times of the year – I understand with the current chip shortage, selling at MSRP is probably about as good as someone could expect. I showed him a build sheet from a dealer that is a Costco approved seller that was at MSRP with a slight discount and he said the dealership should not be offering that pricing and he believed the intent of that dealership was to get the car in and then have me decide not to buy it so that dealership would have an additional car on the lot to sell at a higher price.

Next, I asked about the added security Gold Plus 10-year 100,000-mile agreement. I was told that normally it would be sold at what I later found out is 100% over what can be obtained from Subaru but he would do it for what I later found out is 75% over what can be obtained from Subaru (about 45% over what ended up being the inflated price for the Impreza plan they sold to us). When I mentioned that was quite a bit higher than what we paid for the Impreza plan, at first he said part prices had gone up. When I told him that our Impreza purchase was only six weeks earlier, he then changed to say the dealership has changed hands (I don't recall if he said ownership or management) in mid-November. I found all the responses trying to justify the higher costs and not acceptable.

The above also causes me to question the price associated with the Impreza they sold the 4-year 42 month scheduled maintenance plan with service every six months as well as the price charged for the EC Bond Ultimate five-year term which couldn't be removed from the sale since the vehicle had already been treated. Unfortunately, in these two cases I have not been able to find any details online of what they should have cost.

If the above experience is how this dealership apparently now wants to conduct business after apparently having changed hands, it is not a place I would purchase a vehicle.

It should be noted after this experience, I found a dealership that placed a Forester Sport order for us with the exact optional equipment of interest at MSRP and will accept the $500 loyalty discount coupon we have. We also know we can get the added security plan at the price it should be sold for. We are disappointed we were not able to make the purchase at our local dealership but won't purchase from a place that would do business as described above.

Took my car in for a oil change. They had just changed owners so they didn't have the computer system up. The service advisor was friendly and handled getting me checked in a timely manner. Oil change was done in the time promised.

Jaime and the Subaru technicians are the best at Subaru Sierra! Would have taken it to Glendale but I hear the staff at Sierra is much more welcoming! Will come back for my Subaru Guaranteed work.

Best place to get Subaru, hands down. Everywhere else's deals were NOTHING compared to what Subaru of Monrovia offered... I'm talking $70+ difference in monthly lease prices!! I worked with George, who was honest, straight to the point, didn't waste my time and was not trying to manipulate me whatsoever. If you want a dealership you can trust and will not trying to steal as much money as they can like Subaru of Glendale, COME HERE. Ask for George!

Bought my Outback back in 2015 brand new and keep coming back to the service center because of how well they have treated me over the years. I know my next car will be a Subaru for 2 reasons. First, they are awesome cars. Secondly, they have the best service center around.

We've serviced our two Subarus at Subaru Pacific until we received subpar service. Not worth the commute. We tried Glendale, where we lived and let's say.. next subject, they were worse. We finally decided to try the Subaru Monrovia location today and so glad we did.. We were pleasantly surprised about the excellent service we received. Rafael was our service department contact, he was not only friendly, but super efficient. We were able to get an appointment within two days and our car was finished in less than two hours! This will definitely be our go to service place and if we decide to get a third Subaru, we will definitely try this location first! Thanks Subaru Monrovia!

Jeff Stevens was my sales person and let me say he is one of the nicest guys. He's not your typical pushy sales person. He answered all my questions, help me get a good deal on my car even though there's limited cars due to the chip shortage. I live in Tustin ca and I drove all the way to Monrovia just because I like his vibe. If you're looking for someone that will help you and not feel pressured ask for my guy Jeff. Trust me you won't regret it! ?
