Do NOT use this moving company. They are unprofessional from their communication to their estimates. I am absolutely outraged I trusted this moving company. I had my stuff picked up on Dec. 15th and did not hear a peep from this company until Jan. 6th. In the beginning they estimated my move at $1200 and about a month later they not only doubled my move, they increased it more than doubling it! Totaling it to $3000 for a bed frame, mattress, small couch and table from WA to CA. To estimate something THAT far off is absolutely ridiculous! And I honestly feel disrespected as a customer. They clearly they do not know how to estimate and do their jobs accurately.

A very shady company! I should have never contacted this company. This company can NOT be trusted. I highly do NOT recommend this moving company.

I'm moving items that are packed and in storage from Seattle to Boston. So I called around and got a quote from this company and others. They quoted me a lower price, it was on the order of $800-$1K less, saying that my move was probably a lot less weight than the other companies anticipated and they specialized in small moves. I trusted them, since I hadn't even had a full apartment's worth of things, just a bedroom. They came to pick up my things, which were already boxed and packed in a storage unit. I even helped load the truck to make it easier on them. The men informed me that they needed to update the inventory a little, for a couple of extra boxes and a bookshelf I forgot was there, but they asked for my signature and said I could go. After a week, when I had already flown back to Boston, they informed me that my things were ready to ship, and that the total cost would be 3 TIMES WHAT THEY QUOTED ME.

I told them that I don't have that kind of money, and that the price they wanted is over twice what the competitors had quoted me. I asked why they hadn't said anything earlier when it was apparent that the estimate they gave me would not hold. They never even gave me a final inventory list or updated quote to approve. They claim that they have already packed and palatalized my belongings, and that the total weight with all of their packing materials has come out to 3 times the weight anticipated, and they didn't weigh it at all until after they had done the packing. I asked about having another company do the move since I can't afford what they're asking for, and THEY CLAIM THAT I OWE THEM THE ORIGINAL QUOTE JUST FOR PICK UP AND PACKING SERVICES. THAT WAS NEARLY ALL OF MY BUDGET FOR THIS MOVE. That was the price they quoted me for pickup, packing, transportation, and in-home delivery!

I would understand if the price went up a little because the estimate was a little off, but 3 times the quoted rate is unacceptable! When I called, the person on the phone said they couldn't do anything about the price but would have their manager call me because the manager was out at that time. I agreed. No call that day. No call the next day. Weekend. No call on Monday. On Tuesday I get an email saying that I owe them the 3X amount they quoted AND if I don't pay it immediately they will also charge me storage fees for my shipment that hasn't gone out. ???????

Don't trust this company! They intentionally underestimate weights of your items to give you a smaller quote and then take your belongings hostage! I don't buy things like a bed frame or a book thinking, "Hm, I wonder how much this weighs" which is why I trust a moving company to estimate it for me. This moving company cannot be trusted and doesn't hold itself to its quotes or inform you of an updated estimate. If you have a budget, this company is not for you.

it took 13 days to get a quote back. the person taking the quote expressed a flippant attitude after i provided my ethnic name. i sent inventory and pictures. they quoted over 4k for a studio apt move. twice the most expensive competitor price. beware.

Awesome shipping company for small furniture items that just aren't large enough to qualify for the large van lines. Fantastic pricing. I shipped two antique pieces of furniture from Seattle WA to Grand Rapids MI. Shipping was timely. Crews on both ends were very professional and efficient. And best part is furniture was so well packed/transported, it arrived at destination in pristine condition. Thank you ship smart! Will definitely work with you again!

We hired them to help move my 1 bedroom apartment from Seattle to Georgia. They lost everything except for a few boxes. Very frustrating.

They did a great job, communications were as described. The shipment arrived in the timeline provided and in great condition. Every employee interaction was pleasant. I was very impressed with the custom crate made for a piece of antique furniture. Price was exactly as quoted. I would highly recommend Ship Smart for any small moves (those where a large mover is not an option).

I had a myriad of fragile items shipped that included antique glass cake plates, rocking chairs and pieces of art. All items were intact on delivery. I could not have been more pleased. Service man who delivered items was pleasant and timely. Quote was right on with no hidden charges. All in all a very good experience.

I had an old barber chair in storage in Spokane, Washington and after talking to several other companies, I decided to have Ship Smart package and ship the barber chair to me here in Laughlin, Nevada. They were the least expensive on rates, and highest in customer service, as my chair arrived in perfect condition as promised and on time. I honestly don't believe I could have gotten any better service from any other company. After my father passed away, I needed to transport several large but fragile pieces of antique furniture from Washington State to Illinois. Bekins Moving Vans referred me to Ship Smart Inc as the best solution to my shipping needs, and were they ever right! I got a great quote over the phone, had documents emailed to me right away, and had the whole process in motion in a matter of hours. The people who showed up to pick the furniture up were extremely professional and careful with how they handled the pieces; I was apprised of the status of the shipment all along its route, and given a selection of delivery times/dates. Everything arrived in perfect condition, delivered into my garage on neatly wrapped pallets. I encountered friendly, helpful professionals from start to finish. Can't recommend them enough!
