Worst Experience ever from a reservation! We booked a weekend here for October 2021, unfortunately my husband was in the Emergency Room at the hospital, and we were unable to go, they wouldn't refund our monies!!! and this trip wasn't going to happen soon. they gave us credit (not knowing it expired in 1 year) We went to re-book and it was over a year. No more credit and no refund! We are now out $480.43!!!! The worst part is every time I called and wanted to speak with the owner, they just refused to speak with us! Just very poor customer service and the owner is very inconsiderate and lacking the feeling of others when it comes to emergencies! This review is very over due but needs to be on here! Just make sure you can go, once they get your money NO getting it back, doesn't matter the reason or time frame to cancel! I would of given them -5 if I could!!Report
Showed up at the proper check in time. No one is here and the lock box code to get into our room is incorrect. Totally locked out and zero service. Not sure what to do besides go somewhere else.Report
We reserved the Royal George Cabin with king suite (I think thats what was called) This was a nice experience for one time. The key was left in the lock box for us when we arrived so we were able to settle in a little early. There was a bbq grill and an outdoor seating area.Report
If you stayed here, you are able to come out to the main road and walk across to the bar and pick up location for echo canyon water rafting, royal gorge water rafting, royal gorge zip lining and the bar.
Aside from this, I think it is pricy in comparison to having an Airbnb. No other complaint!

It could be an acceptable economical option but for this price there are too many downsides :Report
- very noisy all night long as right by the highway
- No heater in the room, we were freezing
- shared bathroom and restrooms
- bad smell in the ladies showers
- shower gel finished not replaced
- no hairdryer
- coffee but no water to make it and no tea
Otherwise, the view is nice and the room pretty clean
These cabins are sitting next to a highway. The photos make it seem like a secluded glamping spot when in reality you turn off the highway directly into the property. The noise from the highway is loud and often, even in the middle of the night. You can clearly hear the music from the restaurant across the street (which can be good or bad). Please do your research on the location. The amenities themselves were very impressive, clean bathrooms and showers, the ice machine wasn’t working when we were there for half of our stay, and the cabins are clean and luxurious. The only downside is the locationReport
We went as a large group for work and stayed in both the double cabins and the pinon house. The cabins were very nice, clean and stocked well. The feature of the indoor/outdoor fireplace was a great touch. The pinon house was clean, spacious and accommodated our large group nicely. The views from the deck were stunning! Only cons I can think of, but not really a con were, there is a fence between the cabins and the pinon house. It would be nice to have a gate between the cabins and the pinon house so groups who book both can have easy, walkable access with each other, a nicer broom in the pinon house would be nice, and fans in the downstairs bedrooms for air circulation. But again, that wasn't bad. Overall it was a great location and very clean, with easy access to the Royal Gorge and Canon City. The staff was friendly and was very easy to work with!Report
Beautiful place, good service, it's just so close to the highway and there is traffic noise.Report
