As someone who travels quite a bit for work, I stay in all kinds of accommodations and I am usually the first to write a glowing review when I have a pleasant stay. However, that is not the case with Royal Gorge Cabins. Most of the management, and some of the staff, are unprofessional, condescending, confrontational, and unresponsive to guest needs. This was some of the worst customer service I have experienced in my nearly 50 years on this planet. Noise pollution is a huge problem, with extremely close proximity to the highway, nearly constant helicopter tours throughout the day (that fly directly over the facility), and no seclusion. The swamp coolers on the tents are extremely noisy and largely ineffective. The good news is that they help to drown out the engine brakes from semi-trucks passing on the freeway. The facilities were clogged, overflowing, and out of order most of our stay, leaving guests to try and find the nearest tree or bush, not to mention the smell of raw sewage. They promote it as "glamping," but it's more like setting up a tent in the backyard. The tents are in such close proximity that there is almost no privacy. They say that they clean the accommodations each day, but no one showed up to do this during our four day, three night stay. My advice, do yourself a favor, if you want a good experience, go anywhere but here. Don't be fooled by the glossy photos and their fake reviews. While called "glamping," this is anything but glamorous. Trust me when I say, if I could give "0" stars, I would. By the way, every word of this review happened as stated. Suffice it to say, their attempt to denigrate our group and misrepresent what happened in their response is just sour grapes and an attempt to cover their own shortcomings. I will leave it at that.

Beautiful cabins in a beautiful location. Impeccably clean. All the amenities you need. A bit pricey but worth it for such a special place to stay! Enjoyed the fireplace and sitting outside looking at the stars and juniper bushes.

I loved that it was exactly as it was advertised! The special touches were wonderful like the Red Bull's, kind bars, and corn hole game. The first morning we woke to see four deer eating grass right in front of the window.

We had a great stay here. The location is very convenient. The cabin itself was the perfect size for two people. I felt like the space was designed very well to meet our needs. I really appreciated the contact free check in and out. The staff with whom I communicated on the phone were very helpful.

Stayed with 2 girlfriends in a Glamping Tent with 2 queen beds. it was HUGE! And the beds were incredibly comfortable. I was amazed at the quality of accommodations. We enjoyed the communal gas fire pit in the evening. So peaceful. Note: Our tent was close to the entry/highway & the highway traffic did wake me up early. Earplugs would have been a simple solution. For those with middle of the night pit stop urges - may I suggest a chamber pot of some sort? Regardless- we all loved it. Royal Gorge hiking trails were 10 min or less drive away. Note they DO have coffeemakers which was not on their amenity list. :) Would stay again for sure.
