Add ReviewI've used Royal American for over ten years and have been pleased with their promptness and when our furnace stopped working they came out within 2 hours and fixed the problem in the middle of winter. Also used them to move vents when we moved into a "new" house that we opened up the floor plan and Royal American made it work. Great guys. I trust them enough to only use them!Report

If I could give zero stars, I would. Called, explained my problem of Nest thermostat not getting enough power (no common wire), asked them to make sure they had the expertise to fix before they came to my house. They said they did, sent a repairman who could not fix. Then proceeded to charge me hundreds of dollars despite not fixing. Owners are self-righteous and indignant and had no interest in taking responsibility. Look elsewhere for HVAC service or beware of being duped.Report

Not calling names, I said you were being righteous and indignant. You were. I've never had an owner yell at me simply for asking to split a $200 bill.
I did give you the opportunity to fix it. You couldn't/didn't. You tried and I was happy to pay the $90 fee for that. It's the other $110 I asked for a refund on because I'm not sure why I'd pay you when you couldn't fix the issue.Re: If I could give zero star ... Unfortunately, we were never given the opportunity to fix the problem, since you called another company to install the part our technician told you to purchase from Best Buy. We only charged you $200 for a 2 hour service call, which thought was reasonable. At Royal American we certainly understand we might not be the right fit for some customers. I hope the second company you called was able to meet all your expectations. Before your review, we had 4.9 stars, which we worked very hard for. Calling us names only goes to show other people the illegitimacy of your review.
