I was born, raised, and educated in the Twin Cities. Growing up, I spent many wonderful summers at my family's cabin in Forest Lake.
I attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate and dental training, and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1990. Following graduation, I received the Dentist Scientist Award Fellowship and worked on various research projects at the University of Minnesota.
I earned my orthodontic specialty certificate from the University in 1995 and have been in private orthodontic practice since then. In April 2005, I was certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
I started my own practice, St. Croix Valley Orthodontics, in 1995. My practice merged into a larger group practice in 1998, where I was a leading partner.
In 2012, I was excited to leave the large group practice environment, and return to a smaller operation where I could focus more on individual patient care as a sole provider.
I take great pride in using my research skills to evaluate the latest orthodontic technology and perform the most appropriate treatment for each individual patient. I am a Preferred Provider for Invisalign® and proficient at placing temporary anchorage devices (TADs), an implant system used in advanced orthodontic treatments.
Outside of orthodontics, I have been involved with Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, and church groups. I still enjoy the water activities that I did growing up, but now I enjoy them with my wife and four children! Occasionally, you might find me on a local golf course or fishing on Forest Lake.
I truly enjoy improving the dental health and smiles of all ages. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
