About Rising Eagle Resort

Rising Eagle Resort is located on Big Jessie Lake in Talmoon, Minnesota in Itasca County near the Chippewa National Forest. We are a family owned and operated resort offering affordable family vacations.

Big Jessie is noted especially for its population of walleye, but also has northern, crappie, bluegill, perch, and bass. Several crappies and bluegill at least 12 inches in length were caught in 2009.

We have 6 lakefront, modern housekeeping cabins on the very secluded north end of the lake. There are no steep inclines or steps from the lake to the cabins or to the fish cleaning house. Two cabins have an enclosed porch and all others have large decks, all which have a beautiful lake view. Three of our cabins have fireplaces. Most of our cabins do have ramps, but please call us for more specific accessibility details.

Cabin prices range from $475 to $575 per week for 2 people and include use of 1 resort boat without motor. Additional persons are $50/week for anyone 5 and over and $25/week for anyone under 5.
