Rebound Behavioral Health

Rebound Behavioral Health ~ Refusing to give medical records. Has anyone else had a challenging time with business communications and receiving records?. I have sent on several occasions the documents they required. I have called numerous times and no return calls for months. I spoke with Ms. Parks there and she said they would be sent and more than two months have passed and nothing, no response.

Spent a week here in the beta unit after a failed suicide attempt. Still confused as to why I was sent here since they do not offer psychiatric help. Never saw a psychiatrist and what they call a therapist was not the experience I expected. The food is a joke. The medication is probably the only good thing I can say about this place. Heavy doses of meds definitely kept me from feeling suicidal but also kept me feeling much of anything at all.
My biggest overall concern is the lack of privacy while speaking with staff. There is a major HIPAA violation happening each and every day in that place and I'm surprised no one has done anything about it. They speak to each patient right at the desk by the door which is in the same room as the day room/common area. EVERYONE can hear your conversations. Once, a staff member came in the midst of intake and was also shocked at being able to overheat such personal details being discussed so openly.
I also noticed that some of the staff was overly touchy-feely with some of the patients who had been there longer. Overall, I had to help myself in order to get out of there.

overall good place but overheard staff talking bad about a patent. one big black gut with a Benz is very mean to patents. i was in Beta unit for 8 days....did me good really.....just need to control the staff behavior better.

Shaq's the man. You can tell he is genuine and wants to help the patients. This definitely was a life changing expirence.

I am honestly disappointed with this place. My therapist had called while I listened, to ask some questions to see if this facility would be a good fit for me. They told us I would be able to see my husband and that they had single rooms available for my stay. I accepted and drove 3 hours out of my way to be admitted. Once I signed the papers and my husband was about to leave, it was then that they decided to tell us that there were no visitors allowed. I panicked and wanted to leave because I needed my support system. I was told I could not leave even though I was technically voluntarily there and that I would have to finish the 7 days before I could leave. Once I was put into a room, I was placed with a roommate. I was not lied to once, but twice! I was devastated and terrified and the staff was not all that helpful. I barely even saw the doctor or therapist. I was able to get out early, however, the impatient program left me more traumatized than it did to make me any better. The entire stay we did groups about alcoholism (which is great) but not once did they talk about mental health, self harm, or suicide, which was the reason I was admitted. I do not recommend Rebound. Maybe I wasn't there long enough to see if the staff actually cared, but just the few days I was there, they didn't care much about what we were going through or how terrifying or uncomfortable it was for the patients. They just cared if we obeyed the rules and listened to what they had to say. I felt more like a burden and like I was just another responsibility they had to take care of and watch, than an actual human being suffering in silence.

Very clean, good food, good people work there I can tell you that for sure. Good doctor. ended up there and hit rock bottom and didnt even know it but got stronger and help to now sober over 2 mos. If you need help sometime you don't know it until it too late but lucky not too late for me and i have a new life. They helped me see what happened to me.

Refused to treat my son after the first day saying he was a danger to himself. What kind of psychiatric hospital would put someone out if they felt he was capable of self harm?

I brought my daughter a new outfit it was stolen.I ask two people about it they claim they didn't see it. Nobody contact me yet about it.??

Detox staff was great. They would bend over backwards to help. When I moved over to PHP that all changed. They expect you to change over night and if you get off on the wrong foot with Tara you are doomed. I guess her Jersey attitude doesn't click with us from the south. They asked me to leave because I triggered someone well how the hell do I know what triggers someone has. Tara was very rude and doesn't want to give anyone a chance to change and they are still having problems. I guess I wasn't the problem after all. They jeopardized my recovery
