• Production of fluorescent "quantum dots" nanoparticles (QDs). Radetec's QDs are extremely bright, especially suited to be used as labels in in-vitro diagnostic assays. We have perfected a proprietary process to modify these particles with organic or biological molecules, making them suitable for biomedical applications previously not possible to achieve, thus unleashing quantum dots’ potential in medical applications
• Production of reagents and equipment for Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs) development. Radetec Diagnostics has developed an advanced dispensing system (BioStriper) that draws lines of proteins on nitrocellulose sheets, as well as an optical reader (Flare) to measure fluorescence and colorimetric signals from paper-based assays. The striper and the reader come in two models, basic and advanced. The basic model is a cost-effective way to develop a wide range of rapid paper-based tests in laboratories.

Quantum dots form the core of Radetec’s platform technology, that enables different applications in medical imaging, biomarker screening and sensing. Another key capability of Radetec Diagnostics is its optimisation of Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs), a market-proven solution for the production of portable Point-Of-Care Tests (POCTs). Radetec is using its own quantum dots to develop two POCTs based on lateral flow technology: a rapid multiplex test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea (the two most prevalent sexually transmitted infections worldwide) and a rapid antigen test for COVID-19.
