Privett Hatchery

This is my second order with Privett. This time I ordered 25 Blue Cochins. They are beautiful and healthy and all of them survived. It helps when you have a good relationship with your post office so they're not sitting around all day in the a/c. I got a call at 6:30 on a chilly morning and I picked them up quickly and was able to get them warmed up before temperature became a problem. I will continue to order from Privett in the future.

Ordered six Toulouse females got five.The sixth one looks like a African gray. Privett says ? They are not calling me back ????. Would not be doing any bisness with this company ever again.

Just recieved a bunch of bantams, smashed, cold, deformed chicks including splayed leg. Not impressed at all. I've purchased from many hatcheries, could be a lot better being a "hatchery". I thought hatcheries were to provide the highest quality attainable.

My grandfather owns this place

Im the owner of Fabulously Feathered Silkies in California. Nov 12th I experienced a home fire and in it 280 silkie chicks paraished in their brooders.
I asked throughout the hatchery industry to see if any were available at this time of year. There were none to be found. Someone suggested I try Privett.
I did and the following week, on Dec 1st I recieved the 150 silkie chicks I ordered. All but one of the 150 arrived alive! The 149 were active and appeared healthy. One week later they were thriving and happy lil peepers! My next order arrived a week later. I ordered 150 and recieved all but 2. I got 148 alive chirping silkie chicks the second week of Dec! Again, a week later, they all are healthy thriving young chicks!
I am greatful to have found Privett Hatchery. I usually hatch all of my chicks however, Im not sure I could have produced any healthier, happier chicks than I received! Thank you Privett Hatchery!

After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned about confusion on ordering and really getting what we wanted. I called and spoke with Shelby, I explained this was my first time ordering from Privett, and that I was a little concerned after reading some reviews. I asked if she could email me a copy of the order, so that I had it in black and white. She happily did just that. We have ordered from other hatcheries before, and like some other's web sites, to order online... Privett could use a better website? The oldfashioned customer service Shelby provided, was more than satisfying! She confirmed shipment and provided a tracking number. We have 20 very happy turkeys, as healthy as I have gotten. Pleased and will likely order more birds next year... maybe they'll have a website with more than a price list by then? Either way, the customer service here beats what I have experienced at the big hatchery in MO. Thanks Shelby.
