The Paramedic refresher was excellent. The platform used is easy to navigate. The layout & schedule for completion was perfect for a steady & manageable workflow. Additionally the instructors were always responsive when needed for any guidance. Highly recommend taking this course!

Recently got my Emt cert through Premier. Penny and the other instructors were all fantastic. Schedule was flexible enough where I could still work a full time job and attend classes. Passed my nremt first go around! Will be back this fall to start my medic classes!! Thank you Chris for answering all my questions about both the emt and medic classes!!

Great paramedic program, if you’re unsure about this program go talk to the instructors and get a tour! They have very high quality equipment.

Just finished the basic program here in 2023 and even though I wanted to get my paramedic there, cause it would of been easy for me, I'm glad I found a much better program with a comparable price and time frame. First off I have to say that the teacher for the program was fantastic. She was intelligent, engaging and gave of herself for her students. But even though she was awesome there were still quite a few problems. Other than our main teacher and one of the paramedics that would come in for testing they were all awful people with inflated egos. One "instructor" said right off the rip that some of you will fail this exam, as in he was just looking for reasons to fail us. Another one was too busy playing games on her phone to notice to check off if we did something proper or not. It was a quick payday for them so they either wanted to flex the authority they don't have elsewhere for being glorified uber drivers or just didn't care at all. But the main problem is with the administration and how they set up the program. Everything was fine, albeit hard because it is a face paced college course, until midterms came. Everyone in the class failed it. Basically all the same questions. And after asking other paramedics not affiliated with the school, nurses and ED doctors it was told to us that we all got the same questions wrong because the questions were worded poorly. Well as a whole the class voiced our concerns and instead of them agreeing with them they decided to live on their laurels of past achievements and said, to a room of a bunch of mostly teenagers, that no the questions are just fine, you just didn't read them right. Now if everyone in the class failed the whole test, that means we're either the worst class they've ever had or we were right. But what's worse is that to keep their graduating numbers up so they don't lose their state accreditation they just gave us the exact same test over again after giving us all the answers. So sure, we passed but it was a clear sign that we weren't going to be prepared for the state exam. And that's basically what happened. The rest of the course was done the same exact way, even the final. If we failed, which most did given the poorly worded questions, we were just given the same exact test again to keep their numbers looking good. By the end of the program out of 12 students, 2 had dropped out, 2 or 3 failed the class but were given more opportunities to pass the course by being given the same exact tests and then it ended up more than half failed their state exam the first attempt. Some still haven't passed it and that's because we weren't prepared properly because when you're given the answers, it's not hard to pass. They don't put their passing rate or state graduation rate online like other programs because it would be embarrassing. Even more so if they did you would see a big difference in the number who pass the class and who ended up actually passing their state exam since that's the whole point of getting an education. You can pass the class but unless you pass state boards, it's all for nothing. Ask them the percentage of people who passed that and then make your decision. I know in my class it was less than half that made it. And one of those was one kid who took the whole class over again because he had failed the state test 3 times already. I work with plenty of paramedics for different hospitals, cities and fire departments. The general concensus is is that they might have been good at one time but if people are failing state boards something is wrong. LCCC and Tri-C have classes with higher state board passing rates and their students are now employed in the field. Don't take my account as a have all/be all decision just ask to see the numbers of students who passed the class and compare it to students who passed state boards. Then make your decision. But as a person in the field already you'd be better off going elsewhere. Prices are all comparable and some have better passing rates.

ACLS and PALS renewing are lower stress, and the ideal place to complete at Premier. Chris is a fantastic instructor for these AHA courses. It's definitely worth my time and effort to use this facility every two years.

Went through the medic program this past cycle. Can say without a doubt that it’s worth your time. The schedule is flexible enough to where you could have a full time job and still attend and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable in all their fields. The clinical sites, specifically metrohealth ER, will provide you with once in a lifetime opportunities and experiences that you won’t get with any other program. Having issues on specific topics? Don’t worry! The instructors are very helpful in providing a hand with tutoring and giving pointers. If you’re looking to continue your career in the EMS field, there’s no better place than PHSA.
