Poolside Vacation Rentals

We bought a short term rental in Palm Springs over a year ago and signed up with a property management firm that shall remain nameless. Of course it started out good and went downhill from there. Reservations started drying up, they weren't responding to emails, and the owner was a complete diva. Enough of that bad experience. After that experience, I interviewed 5 firms, large and small. I interviewed firms for their experience in marketing, customer service, maintenance ability, rates. At the end of the day, I think all firms are fairly equivalent on marketing as they all use the Airbnb, VRBO and key sites. Some larger firms have partnerships with hotel chains such as the Marriott but you pay for that as well. If you can keep renters in without the extra cost, why wouldn't you?

So if all firms are equivalent in marketing, than what differentiates them? Customer service to the owners, responsiveness to owners and guests when there are issues and nice touches. This is where Poolside is different from their competition. They drop off a welcome basket with snacks, put waters in the refrigerator, lift up the shades, turn the outside lights on, and make sure the property looks in tip top shape before the guests arrive. They also will turn on the pool/spa heater to have it warm when the guests arrive (if the owner is ok with it). I've stayed at several Airbnb's and when you get there, you are tired, hungry and wish you had something to snack on or water. Very nice touch! They also touch base with the guest to let them know they are available if anything comes up.

Their orientation book is very comprehensive with the happenings in Palm Springs, restaurant recommendations, and instructions on how different things work in the house (pool heater, thermostat, fire pit, etc.). It is very helpful to the guest.

Now from an owners perspective. They don't nickel and dime you like other firms. They are transparent about costs, what they can and can't do. They let us know when something is broken or needs to be fixed and if it isn't a big expense, they fix it themselves. They treat your home as if it is their home. They use the LiveRez system for reservations and owners statements so I can access it at anytime. Most importantly, they respond immediately when I call or leave a message. They have been available days, nights and weekends and never seem annoyed when I call.

I highly recommend this firm. My contact Nate has been fantastic to work with but I've also interacted with other team members (mostly from larger firms like Vacasa) but want to give the personal touch of a boutique firm

Very pleased with this property management company! Their customer service was excellent and the property was very clean and ready upon arrivals while helping explain all the amenities it had to offer. I will use them again in the future.

What an amazing home in Palm Springs!! Great location. Only about 2 miles from downtown - easy uber. Walk to the grocery store. Fabulous mountain view!! Will be staying here again!

We had such an amazing experience with Poolside Vacation Rentals. They were extremely easy to communicate with and quick to respond in the booking process. It was such a nice touch that after our first night staying here they had brought donuts by as a nice welcome. There was a basket full of snacks and coffee and tea which they provided. Just so many little touches that set this experience with Poolside Vacation Rentals apart from most of my other rental experiences with other companies.

Let me tell you. This house was amazing. And the property management company was even better. Team Poolside went above and beyond when it came to communication. They are by far everything an Airbnb host should be. They answered every question or concern with the best responsive time I have ever seen. Jessica even stopped by on our second day and brought us some muffins. I couldn't have had a better time.

5 star experience is all this company does. The ladies in the office are a pleasure to speak with every time very easy to talk to and very professional. We had to call In on the first night around 9pm because we could not figure out how to heat the spa we spoke with Cassidy and she informed us that Jessica will be there asap and no kidding she was there in 15 minutes WOW that is very fast, She walked us through it and explained how to operate everything. Overall me and my family had an excellent vacation. Thanks again to everyone at team Poolside for ensuring we had an amazing stay we are for sure coming back and are already looking forward to it.

In my forty years of working with rental properties and property managers I've never come across a company as competent as Poolside Vacation Rentals.
This is a team of top notch professionals dedicated to providing the best service to both owners and guests.
Before switching to Poolside Vacations Rentals I had constant concerns and disappointments regarding the condition of my home and the guest, neighbor experience. This is not the case any more, they stay on top of literally everything, their communication and follow through is excellent which is so important for peace of mind. My only regret is they can't manage my other properties which are out of the area. In closing I highly recommend contacting Poolside Vacation Rentals as property managers or for guest services.
