Add ReviewLiterally the most rude and appalling customer service experience I have ever had to date. As a former apple employee, I've made sure to escalate my concerns to my colleagues over at Cupertino to make sure that this company is taken off apple's list of authorized trade ins.Report
Sent in a large device for trade in. Received a notice that my trade in has been accepted for $90, and then out of nowhere, an email that it was being sent back to me. No explanation, nothing.
Emailed the company several times and head back a week later saying that the device was already marked for shipping - no apology for their mistake, no clarification as to what happened. NOTHING. I have sent multiple emails since and they're purposely ignoring me.
Are you kidding me? How is this company affiliated with apple?
It takes a lot to make me angry, and let me tell you I'm fuming. Going to to everything I can to expose this sad excuse of a company.Re: Literally the most rude a ... This company stole my iPhone. I would give them -5 stars if I could. I sent my phone in as a trade-in for which they were supposed to pay me $400. I have proof from FedEx that my package was delivered, but two weeks after they received it and I had heard nothing, I contacted them. They told me they had no info whatsoever about my phone and then wouldn't respond any further to my emails. Absolutely ridiculous that they think they can just steal my iPhone and not pay me or send it back to me. I'll have to get the authorities/police involved now.ReportRe: This company stole my iPh ... Zero Stars for unresponsive customer service, both on the phone and via email. OnePlus forced me to return my old phone 2 weeks ago with Phobio, and I was never sent an email to confirm the return kit. After several attempts, I thankfully found a Phobio rep on the phone who sent me my return kit... But still no confirmation email or number to track the status of my return. I have now emailed them several times with the details of my trade-in without any response for 10 days. I have a bad feeling that they are going to "lose" my phone and I will get no return credit or my phone back to sell elsewhere. I sent in an old iMac to them last June and they sent me an email with a rebate ... which I lost. I was planning to buy. a iPad mini and I wanted the rebate to put down on that. My first request for for the information wasn't answered but a rating survey came . I waited a few to complete hoping for the email I really sought. Finally I filled out the survey saying it was hard to answer the questions as I had not heard back! They got back to be with the information and were very helpful. Excellent customer service and good response, I had initially planned to trade in my iPhone but changed my mind, they were very accommodating and canceled my deal. Scam company. Apple needs to dump them. Sent in a perfectly working Apple MacBook Air for a quote of $190. Got notified that there was a line/defect in the screen and they could only do $70. Thought it must have been damaged on the way but regardless, declined that option. Glad I did because when I got it back it was working just fine the way I sent it in. THIS COMPANY TRIED TO SCAM ME.Report

Do not trade in with Phobio! They are 100% scammers.. took $200 from me and returned a non-working (clearly messed with) MacBook. Their business model is dependent on people who don't bother to ask for their device back and accept the new $0 offers since they want they're device to get recycled. Sent them my iPhone X. after decreasing the trade in value from @225 to $0 due to some of my personal info being left on the phone (I was unaware of this). They sent it back to me and the package was stolen off my porch. When I asked why on Earth would they send a perfectly working iPhone without a signature required for receipt they said they only do that by request. It was never an option when I requested the phone be sent back. I assumed that they would take this precaution given the nature of the nature of the item being shipped and the fact but they then informed me that I would have had to contact them and make the request (none was given at time of "checkout"). I am so disappointed. They are also not handling the insurance claim so basically I'm out on my own, without a phone, or my trade in value, because this company doesn't value it's customers or respect their property.ReportRe: Sent them my iPhone X. af ...
