I paid Rusty Adams a $4000 retainer in order to file suit against Texas A&M. He lied to my father and I before we retained him and claimed he had previously successfully sued Texas A&M.

He did some work, but ended up dropping my case due to an incident which actually made the case more appealable and worth pursuing. His work was "research" and did not amount to anything that materially benefitted the case.

He kept his entire $4000 retainer and did not file the lawsuit as he had promised.

I attempted to pursue this matter in small claims court. However Chris Peterson was a LinkedIn Connection with Judge Rick Hill in Brazos County and he successfully shopped the case to that judge, where it was thrown out. Oddly enough, the judge ordered that I pay over $10,000 in additional attorney fees to Chris Peterson, when there is no way he could have incurred those expenses.

I timely filed an appeal in the case yet Chris Peterson's LinkedIn connection is refusing to forward the case along to the County Civil Court. This may required a Mandamus Action against the judge.

Dealing with this law firm has been a total nightmare.

Nothing but good things to say about this firm. Chris is a good guy, represented me well in a family law matter (enforcement of divorce decree). Alyssa kept me updated through the entire process. I was very satisfied with my overall experience here. Very reasonable with the rates. They did not charge me for emails, phone calls, or to make copies of paperwork, it was a flat rate with an expense account (for filling fee's etc).This firm also provides FREE seminars that you might find useful.
