I not only work at Penny Lane School but all 3 of my children have attended the center. We work very hard every day to provide the children the best quality care available. No school is perfect but Penny Lane is close. There hasn't been one teacher I havent felt I could talk to about my child and any concerns I have. We've went through strenuous review by the IL Quality Rating System and are Star Rated. We spent 2 years preparing for and earning NAEYC Accreditation. We continuously evaluate our curriculum and parents can sign in and review their child's portfolio online, journal with the teacher and be offered activities specific to their child to do at home. We have 500 children at our centers and would ask everyone to come see our center for themselves before relying on a small number of reviews. I'm also happy to answer any questions/concerns at [email protected]

Penny Lane School is not recommended. My two children have been there for 3 1/2 months. In that short period of time, both my children have had two stomach viruses, the pink eye, strep throat and scarlet fever. In addition to that, my son was pushed down and has a permanent scar on his eye, for which they took no responsibility. The teachers do not monitor the children as closely as they should and the school is not equipped, nor do they have the resources, to deal with the # of children they service. Do not be fooled by the director and teachers - they are very pleasant, but the school overall is a WOLF in sheep's clothing. Not to mention the tuition is way overpriced for the services, or lack there of, that the school provides. The school is all about the money!! Which would be okay, if the quality of services were equal to the cost. Needless to say, I am withdrawing both my children (ages 5 and 6 1/2) from this school before they are scarred for life.
