Outdoor Adventure Centers - OAC Tours

We signed up for the self-guided tour and met at the store front on N Main St. We had a large party but Brandy did a great job of keeping us covid-19 safe. We signed in, grabbed our pfds, and followed Brandy to the Tuzigoot RAP in our own vehicles. Tuzigoot RAP is where we put out of the river so it was great having our vehicles there waiting for us at the end of the run. We took the shuttle to the TAPCO RAP where we got great info on how to run each of the rapids. We got our boats which were a combination of hard shell and inflatable kayaks and put in. Having run this section of the Verde several times before, I knew that we’d have a nice run for our mixed skill set group. It was cool going through the dam that failed during the winter of 2019. The class 1 & 2 rapids were fun for our whole group. The wider areas of the river allowed us to take our time and enjoy the scenery and most of us took the opportunity for quick cool down dip. We made our way to the Tuzigoot RAP, where the newly installed dock made it easy to put out and get the kayaks up to the loading area. We stayed for quite a while longer to enjoy swimming on the river before heading back to camp at Dead Horse. Overall a great and fun way to spend the day! Thanks OAC!

Our family had our first post COVID vacation to Sedona and we wanted the kids to get out and enjoy the outdoors. The guided Kayak tour by OAC was just what we all needed. Brandy who assisted with logistics and Craig who guided our tour were wonderful to work with. The river was beautiful and the handful of class 1-2 rapids were manageable even for smaller kids. It was a great day!! Thank you!

I did their self guided kayaking tour and had a blast. Great service and good communication from booking to start of the tour. They offered both hard shell and inflatable kayaks.

What an awesome group of people! Brandy answered the phone when I called and told me all about my options. She was so helpful. It was my sisters 40th birthday and her, her husband and their 2 kids had never been kayaking before. When we arrived, they were so helpful and just overall nice people. Craig was super easy to follow on his directions and made sure to let us know exactly what to expect and what to look for. Great beginner river with level 1 and 2 rapids, we had an awesome time and cannot wait to go back for another trip. They told us all about how they are starting up other types of tours and cannot wait to do more adventures with this company! Thank you Brandy and Craig for making this such an easy and memorable experience!
