I had a subsequent appointment with Dr Pell on September 20th, but I cancelled it yesterday. After seeing Dr. Pell for my first visit he ordered an MRI for a probable and very painful meniscus tear on my right knee. That first appointment was in late August and I’ve yet to receive a call from the office in regards to the status of my MRI appointment. The purpose of the September 20 visit was for Dr. Pell to discuss results of the MRI. I’ve been told that Dr. Pell is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in south Florida. I guess I’ll never find out how good Dr. Pell is because I’m seeking medical services elsewhere. My wife told me to complain to Avmed, but I don’t feel I should have to go through that. Obviously, the office staff is sub par!

I choose to go to this doctor because it has excellent reviews. But this the worst experience that I have in regarding doctors appointment. My first visit I when all excited wanting answers and help for my ankle ( I am in a lot of pain everyday). Doctor Ceballos saw me 2min and told that I would need an MRI and I said ok, but can you give me something for the pain he said not that he would need to see the MRI first. Ok, I got the MRI and when I am back with the results he told me that there is nothing that he can do for me that I would need to go and see an specialist in foot and ankle I told him ok, at least can you give some exercises or recommendation for me because everyday working is a torture, he told that not that he does not want confuse the specialist later, like what? Ok, I went to the counter to get the specialist's name, and I was waiting for the lady. When she got there, she told me very rudely that I needed to move because she needed to see another person first, so she made me wait like 5min ( when I am in pain), and then she charged me 110$ for a FOLLOW UP that did not have any results because the doctor could not provide ANY type of help at all!!
Very disappointed! Expensive and they do not help you!

I am so sorry you feel you had a bad experience with our office - regarding the amount charged and your statement that he is "expensive" is not something that we control. The amount you pay is solely based on your insurance plan. As frustrating as it is for all of us, we cannot control the agreement you have with them. As far as the treatment you received - the doctor treats each patient individually and provides the best care possible based on their injury and individual situation. Dr. Ceballos is a highly trained dual board certified orthopaedic surgeon who prides himself on giving each and every patient the highest quality care he can. Sometimes, even if the patient thinks its the right treatment, the doctor, based on his many years of education, experience, knowledge and training treats the patient based on what he believes to be the best treatment for that individual patient. Though you may think he should have done things differently, that does not mean that you were treated improperly. Dr. Ceballos has over 14 years of higher education and training and has helped countless people recover from injuries. You may not understand why he recommends what he does but I assure you that it is a thought out plan to provide all patients with the best potential for a positive outcome. We wish you luck and hope you find the care you need to be pain free and functional.

Conveying in writing the remarkable human values with which Dr. César Ceballos, MD, FAAOS had been endowed as a Certified Orthopaedical Surgeon in Miami, may not be enough. Conversely, I can say that from corroboring his medical knowledge at the time in which I visited Him, it is my conviction that mindful and exceptional doctors like him come about in a sort of medical understanding and technical comprehension of the subject, which allows Him to accomplish a true comprehension of our medical issues.

The way in which He and his Staff express their concern for us, their patients, is a manifestation of the human grandeur lying beneath their soul, showing us how they love what they do. And this certainly is very rare on the times we are living nowadays. He is not the doctor that seeks to take advantage of our maladies to force us in making a decision just to make profits. Thus, I could not be more thrilled to visit with him after being spiritually guided to see him. He was open, direct and honest with my issue and His love and dedication along with the Staff of his office can not be over looked simply because, Him and his Staff, are an outstanding and passionate group of Human Lovers! Doctor Ceballos is very knowledgeable and qualify Orthopedic Surgeon with great bedside manner. He is personable and the same time very caring.
His staff are amazing Kim, Erika and Mary Ann are always so professional and caring.

Was very pleased with the Dr and his staff went there in pain and they were very helpful I would gladly recommend Dr Cesar Ceballos
