About three or four months ago, OC Skin Institute purchased my previous dermatologist's practice , Crystal Cove Dermatology, since my previous dermatologist moved out of state.
I requested my medical records and they kindly called me when they were ready. I picked up my medical records but they charge $50 to make copies. I made the payment. But as I am doing research, I understand that is not legal.
I cannot rate this office or their doctors on their service since I never did see any doctor in the office. Why, then, is it in their right to charge me for my medical records? And there weren't that many pieces of paper to constitute $50.
