Add ReviewIt’s okay. I went in for an appointment to see if I could change my birth control because it wasn’t working for me. I specifically said I don’t want to be on the pill, and I asked for an IUD. Doctor asked a few questions, said no, then put me back on the pill after I specifically requested not to without explanation, etc. My appointment was so quick I think it took longer for me to get up to the office then meeting with my doctor. No bedside manners, nothing. Then comes in a $170 dollar bill for a 3 minute appointment— which is ridiculous. :/Report
They’ve went downhill significantly. They no longer send appointment reminders or appointment summaries and are not punctual at all. The midwife staff is eh and the only Dr here that’s worth seeing is flooded with clients. Reception lady has no clue as to what’s going on around her. Not to mention they’ll mess up your scheduling numerous times. DYSFUNCTIONAL!Report
This review goes out to Dr.Walsh specifically. You want an ob that can relate every step of the way without even batting an eye? Shes your homie. Not only is she a great OB, but shes an overall awesome, kind, and understanding individual. Much love to Dr. Walsh.Report
P.S- I would lay down my life for the sweet blood drawing lady named Ruth I believe? She is so sweet, and no one will find a vein quicker and easier!
I switched from another practice halfway through my third pregnancy and I'm so glad I did. ALL of the doctora and midwives are amazing. Midwife Tonia Stevenson delivered my baby and she was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and quick on her feet!Report
Good luck getting any one to answer the phone to get an appointment, or anything for that matter. It doesn’t matter what day, or what time of the day it is. Don’t expect a call back if you leave a voicemail either.Report
Everyone has been absolutely amazing they also worked with me and I got to have my all natural birth. Thank you!Report
Dr. Walsh is awesome. Super nice and knowledgable. You feel like you are in good hands. If you are nervous she will try her best to put you at ease. I am a huge baby/ am extra soooo yeah. But Dr. Walsh did not judge me or get frustrated by me.Report
NP OB/GYN is the best practice I've ever been to. If I could come here for all of my healthcare, I would. I switched to NP when I moved, and shortly after, I became pregnant for the first time. What I thought would be a stressful experience, due to other subpar OBs I've been to, has been such a wonderful one. I actually look forward to all of my appointments. Dr. Barrett is the best doctor I have ever seen. He is kind, compassionate, understanding, and FUNNY. Dr. B always takes the time to discuss how my pregnancy experience is going and also takes my other health concerns (Hashimotos and GAD) very seriously. I don't feel like just another number when I am in the office, which is extremely important to me. Jennifer, the OB coordinator, is amazing as well. She takes the time to explain how you're covered by insurance throughout your entire pregnancy and gives very helpful advice on registering for the hospital and fielding the billing calls from the hospital. She is very friendly and eager to help if there are any issues or injustices with billing. I also want to give a shout-out to the lab because I am not the best when it comes to getting blood work done, but Ruth has made me so much more confident and has been so patient and kind with me. I'd give this office 10 stars if I could!Report
Literally got her at 10:15 am when my appointment was at 10:00 . A little late but ive been waiting and everyones been going in but me its now 11:16!!! I gave a sample and everything even wrote my name down etc. i have no updates either and also i hear the front desk people talking about clients badly. Im in pain and i made this appointment for a reason. I deserve an apology. My husbands missing work for this as well we got bills to pay.not to mention they send me a text message saying i missed 10:00 but i got there at 10:15 and they sent it at 10:24!? Like cmonReport
Dr. Barrett yelled at me while I was in active labor when I didn’t progress fast enough and told me I’m gonna hemorrhage on the table during my c-section because I waited too long to decide. Also, during the surgery, one of the nurses brought up that I was shaking super abnormally hard (enough to hit the nurses) because my anesthesia was too strong, but Dr. Barrett said it was because I’m crying since I didn’t want the c-section.Report
The most traumatizing birth experience as a FTM because of him.
My prenatal appts also had a few red flags prior:
-was told I was a bad mom because I had to miss one of my bimonthly appts because of work
-given a 20 min lecture from a midwife telling me I’ll make my baby glow with radiation if I get too many ultrasounds (I got a total of 3-4 my whole pregnancy)
-dr.Barrett told me I’m gaining too much weight (I’m 120 lbs)
Overall, I’m terrified to give birth again because of how I was treated.
