The process was was pretty fast because in the past it took all day from start to finish and I was out within 3 hours. Everybody was helpful and everything was explained to me and nothing changed from the first time I was there to when I picked up the car and I added on some packages which are really good which helps to keep the car in its best performance. Lastly I will recommend north bakersfield Toyota and the person who helped me Mike to others if they are.looking for a car at Toyota.

These folks are fantastic. Scott, Amir, Sam S. and Paula went above and beyond to help me. They worked through some complicated paperwork and got me exactly the car I wanted. They even helped set up my dashcam when I picked up my car. Highly recommend!

Got a great car at a very good price. When it came time to finish up everything, the finance person talked me into an extended warranty that he said it was bumper-to-bumper. Several times he said it covers everything except for oil changes and routine maintenance like that. I’ve had my car in two times since then and both times they said it wasn’t covered that they really only covered the engine and transmission and large things like that. It really seems like a bae switch because What he told me was completely different than what the service people told me. I think they need to be more upfront about things and not try to bait and switch.

Do not schedule maintenance on their website if you value your time, walk-ins get through the process much quicker.
I scheduled for routine maintenance at 11:00am, arrived at 10:40am then ended up waiting more than 5 hours for the tech to do an oil change, inspection, and rotation.

Horrible experience, they charged me $195 to diagnose my car if the warranty didn't cover it. But I had to take it to them to find out if it was covered. Also they priced me $1000 for the part and it lists for $300 at Toyota website. They are just thieves!!!

You can drive 1-2 hours away from Bakersfield to get excellent customer service and much better prices. I tried giving Bakersfield my business and was reminded why I drive out of town for big purchases.

I communicated with a salesperson about the details of the car I wanted. I processed my credit online to prove my credibility (Tier 1 credit). After my credit proved worthy, I set an appointment to test-drive cars the following day. I did this in phases on purpose so I could test-drive cars without pressure.
When I arrived at my appointment to test-drive vehicles, I told the salesman about the cars I was interested in and wanted to drive.
He said okay and took me straight into an office, where Greg immediately tried to crunch numbers. After 15 minutes of Greg typing, I explained that I had just come to test drive.

After telling the salesman which cars we wanted to drive again, he walked my son and me out into the back service area where a bunch of cars were lined up for service. He showed us a similar vehicle of interest. I had to ask for a key, it was raining, and he left my son and me in the rain while he retrieved the key, which was initially "fine," not the biggest of deals. So, when he came back, we sat in the car. We got out and asked about another vehicle, he left us in the rain again, except this time, upon his return, he brought out an umbrella, but it was for himself. He did not offer any coverage to me or my son. I understand the rain, but no customer service was offered during this transaction.
After my son and I were left in the rain to wait for keys that belonged to cars we could only sit in and not drive, we were over it. I told the guy I didn't want to go over any numbers with my son there and that I would return with my husband. Right after, he took me back into Greg's office to be sold, with my son there, which I just stated I didn't want.

After Greg would not listen to me and kept trying to "sell" me, I had to get up and walk out of his office because he just wouldn't stop talking over me. As I got up to leave the office, Greg's intense directional demand of, "STOP" as I walked out caught me by surprise, in addition to aggravating my son. He's not used to seeing other men speak to me like that, and it's unfortunate I even have to write about this within this review.

I used to be in sales and understand sales tactics, but this whole experience was another level--and not in a good way. This has been my worst car-search experience yet. North Toyota Bakersfield has lost our business forever.

There are too many great dealerships around and fantastic salespeople to have an experience like this. Buying a car should be fun, not like this.
