If there was an option for no stars, I’d give it. The most uneducated and naive “medical professionals” I’ve ever heard of. The lives of babies and mothers should never be left in the hands of a woman who is so incompetent. I would not wish for her help if I was alone, in the woods, giving birth- I think the wind would be of more help than Elise. If you love your wife, sister, daughter- encourage them to find another provider.

I just gave birth to our first child 5 weeks ago and feel very fortunate to have found and hired Elise and Audrey. The entire journey with these two lovely and knowledgeable midwives was a dream. Every appointment was thorough and informative. Elise and Audrey responded promptly to my calls and texts and were always extremely supportive and resourceful. I appreciated that each “test” was presented as an option with the pros and cons laid out. This empowered me to do my own research and choose what was best for my body and pregnancy/birthing journey. I never felt judged and never worried that I would be discriminated against for my choices. I felt like this was very much MY pregnancy/birthing journey and like Elise and Audrey were there to guide me and help make my dreams come true! Everyone thought I was crazy for having a home birth, but the level of care I was given goes above and beyond any doctors visit I’ve ever had. Having a home birth not only gave me peace of mind that I wouldn’t be pushed into something I didn’t feel comfortable with, but it was SO NICE not to have to transition out of the hospital after giving birth. It also felt like such a luxury to have our midwives come to our home for the first couple postpartum visits, instead of going to a pediatrician 3 days after giving birth. I never thought I would be someone who would give birth at home, but man am I happy that I did! I highly recommend “Mountainside Midwifery” and believe that Elise and Audrey’s expertise and guidance resulted in me having the birthing experience I wanted.

They are arrogant and inexperienced. They will not guide you well and encourage you into high risk situations in the name of proving themselves. Our son is dead because of them. Please do not use them. Please find other professionals to guide you through pregnancy and labor. They don’t know what their doing, can’t use a doppler and will do their best to make sure your baby doesn’t take it’s first breath.
