For thirty years as a Harvard educated psychotherapist,I have drawn on my training and experience to build a multifaceted therapy practice at Mount Auburn Counseling Center in Cambridge, Ma. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression in adults, adolescents, and couples. Also, I work with clients helping them address relationship and family issues, parenting concerns, and major life transitions. My approach is both interactive and supportive and I encourage clients to utilize a wide range of community resources such as health and fitness programs,AA,and career networking groups.
In addition to my practice at Mount Auburn Counseling Center, I am a Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Specialist. I served on the First Response Team that aided victims' families of 9/11 and I assisted in the Hurricane Katrina Relief effort, living in a shelter in New Orleans counseling survivors.
Because my practice is in Harvard Square, many of my clients are local university affiliated faculty, students, and staff. Additionally, I co-authored, with my colleague and son, an award winning children's book, "Sugar Was My Best Food: Diabetes and Me" which focuses on a child's perspective of diabetes.â€
Kyle is a wonderful therapist and person. Working with her feels like working with a friend who just happens to have a ton of very funny insight into the way people work. She remembers small details from things I told her weeks ago, so I know she's listening and thinking about what I tell her. I trust her a lot. When I leave appts, whatever was troubling and heavy beforehand feels lighter and manageable afterwards. She really has a gift of empathy and insight and I think that anyone would be lucky to work with her. Nothing feels too heavy or embarrassing to discuss with her and she's never fazed by anything I bring up. I feel like she is on my side and routing for me to succeed, and it's a wonderful feeling. I can't recommend her enough.
