I had a 5 month wait on a 2025 Toyota corolla Hybrid XLE sedan. The wait was worth it, but the annoying part is that my sales representatives kept calling me or their service department seeing if I wanted a different color sedan which I adamantly refused. I had two sales representatives, but I really only talked to one since Marshall seemed to outright ignore me. Jim was great! But since I’m 21 buying a new car not wearing dress to impress clothing and coming with an older female friend they always presumed she was the one buying. Even after finding out I was the one buying they seemed to disregard me a bit. Very subtly. I wanted Celestite with a light interior. Due to the hot weather down here in the south. I work in the rental car business and know my way around the cars. I knew specifically what I wanted. I kept having to go back and forth with the manager over what I wanted because Toyota themselves didn’t really do the color scheme I wanted. Not that THEY couldn’t. I was very adamant I could wait however long for the vehicle. Noel the manager tried to sell me on Ruby red with a light interior (I’m okay with red, but my past 2 vehicles had been red and I wanted something new) or Celestite with a dark interior and they could put new seats in a light color but would charge me $2500 extra for it. Since we weren’t getting anywhere I decided to leave. Noel texted shortly after saying he found a way to get the car I wanted. After waiting months. They said it was for sure coming before the end of the March. I started getting the process ready to sell my car to get the money for the new car. Weeks later no update still. And it was about 12 days until the end of March with no specific date it was coming. Which isn’t the fault of the dealership just Toyota. I came into the dealership to get a paper saying it was for sure coming in by the end of March so I’m not getting a rental car too early. And I talked to Matt another manager and they had just gotten an email that my car is coming the very NEXT day. Thankfully the person I was selling my car to was very flexible with me selling the car day of to. But it was very annoying. Also the car I got was missing a feature from the original paperwork I got. I wasn’t that sad over it but it’s annoying that Toyota will decide WHAT you get. Not the dealerships fault. Just keep that in mind if you get a new car with Toyota. The ensuing info I had to hound out of them. Such as the price. I paid cash and the deposit from months earlier helped. Jim was very helpful and if he needed to call me back he would as well as getting me to right people. I had another sales rep Marshall I met him at the beginning over the phone and in person, but I missed the appointment time so I met with Jim first in person. I met Marshall second to go over some more details. Jim didn’t mention to Marshall I was the one buying so I had to go through a second round of them thinking my older female friend was the one buying. But after that meeting I talked to him about 4 times. Two of which he was trying to convince me to get another color sedan. The other times I called for some questions which he said he would call me back and NEVER DID. I was very annoyed by him and his experience. Don’t go with Marshall if you want ACTUAL help. I hope Jim got the entire sale from this but he probably unfortunately didn’t.Report
