My name is Doctor Michael Tirgan.  I practice in upper west side of Manhattan. A portion of my medical practice is dedicated to cosmetic medicine.  This includes several medical procedures such as removal of benign skin spots such as Skin Tags, Moles, Warts, Red Spots, etc.; as well as Tattoo removal and Botox injections.

In removing skin spots, I utilize proven and established medical treatment methods.  I often use a method known as Cryotherapy. Using cryotherapy, a very limited frostbite is induced in the tissue or the spot that you would like to be removed, such as moles, warts, skin tags, skin growths, dark spots, tattoos, etc.  This controlled frostbite results in destruction of the cells that make up the unwanted spot.  Once this is achieved, the normal repair mechanisms of skin are activated and healing of the skin begins.  Over subsequent days, normal skin grows from underneath, a scab forms on the site of treatment, which then falls off in about two weeks.  Cryotherapy is very safe, very effective and leaves no scars; and above all, it is much more economical than alternatives such as Laser or surgery.
