Education The academic excellence of Lumen Christi students speaks for itself. When compared to other schools in Jackson and nearby areas, the MME results show significantly more Lumen Christi students met or exceeded Michigan Standards for all six subjects. Average ACT score is 22.6, considerably higher than the state average of 18.8. 98% of Lumen Christi graduates continue to higher education. Religion Lumen Christi Catholic School believes that Catholic education is an expression of the mission entrusted by Jesus to the Church He founded.Through education, the Church seeks to transform its members and all of society to a wholesome and holy life. We at Lumen Christi believe that the intelligent person is one who has learned to choose wisely according to Gospel values, and thus lives in the Light of Christ. Discipline Discipline does not simply mean rules and punishment. We hope help students become disciples of Christ, and to develop the skills of self-discipline which will help them succeed in all areas of life. We do this by giving the students consistent expectations and holding them accountable--and most importantly, by taking the time to know and love them. With an average class size of only 22, we are able to give students the individual attention they deserve.
