Add ReviewI had an extremely disappointing experience with Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Anchorage. I was initially told diagnosis would take 1–2 days, but my vehicle sat for over a week with no communication despite multiple attempts to reach the service department. I ultimately had to go in person, where staff could not locate my vehicle or identify it by license plate.Report
The diagnosis was incorrect. I had already replaced the main battery prior to towing the vehicle in, yet I was told the issue was “bad batteries” without any explanation of how they were tested. After spending approximately $900, the vehicle was returned unfixed and experienced the same issue again within two days.
Interactions with staff were unprofessional and uncomfortable. The service manager referred to me as a “diagnostic woman,” which was inappropriate and sexist, and at pickup I was met with aggressive behavior when asking basic questions about charges.
Between the lack of communication, incorrect repair, and unacceptable staff interactions, I left without a fixed vehicle and without confidence in this service department. I would not recommend their service based on my experience.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – MUST READ
🎶 cue dramatic music 🎶
Okay folks… buckle up.
As of December 16, 2025, I am officially a loyal customer of Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Anchorage on Old Seward — and here’s the kicker:
👉 I didn’t even buy my truck from them.
About seven weeks ago, I bought a beautiful 2015 Dodge Ram Laramie from another local Dodge dealer. Great truck overall, but the sunroof and overhead lights didn’t work. As part of the deal, they promised to fix it.
I told them I’d be out of the country for three weeks and asked if they could handle it while I was gone.
They said, “Absolutely.”
🚩 Spoiler alert: they did not.
I came back to a truck that hadn’t been fixed at all. From there:
📞 unanswered calls
👻 salesman ghosted me
🤷 no answers from management
📆 no ETA — ever
When I dropped it off, the mechanic said, “We haven’t even ordered the parts.”
Wait… what?
Fast-forward seven weeks: the truck sat in their shop for five weeks, parts still not ordered, while I paid $157/week for a rental 💸. When I asked to undo the deal and get my trade-in back?
❌ No returns
❌ No trade-backs
What finally came out was that someone dropped the ball — and tried to cover it up 🚩. I was told for weeks it would be “fixed very soon,” only to learn the part might arrive in 2½–3 weeks, plus another 7–10 days to install — pushing me over $1,000 in rental costs, on top of a $5,000 down payment. Had I not gone to upper management, this deception would’ve continued ⚠. This could’ve been handled honestly from day one with a loaner or letting me drive my trade-in 🚗.
Instead, they band-aided my truck together so I could drive it — complete with blue painter’s tape holding my windshield ????🚩. Yes, tape. Flapping in the wind.
Then… the miracle ✨
A friend said, “Transfer your warranty to Lithia on Old Seward.”
I called and spoke with Nick Patton, Sales & Leasing Consultant.
His response?
👉 “No problem. Come see me.”
I showed up after work. Nick listened — actually listened — and within 15 minutes:
✅ Warranty transferred
✅ Work honored
✅ Zero drama
✅ Total professionalism
They treated me with respect, kindness, and integrity — on a truck they did NOT sell me. By the time I hit Old Seward Highway, my migraine was gone 😌💨 (even with the tape flapping).
That’s what real service feels like.
Lithia didn’t just earn my business —
🏆 they earned my trust
🏆 they earned my loyalty
🏆 and they earned this five-star review
I regret not buying my truck from Nick — but they got the after-sale on a truck they never sold me, and that matters more.

I have been taking my truck to this dealership for 11 years. The ONLY reason I take it to the dealership is because I have a Lifetime Warranty (purchased my truck new when those were still available through Mopar). My truck has been in dozens of times over the years with recurrent issues with hub assemblies, bearings, calipers, e-brake, differentials, CV boots, etc. etc etc. The engine on my truck (5.7 L Hemi) has been great, the drivetrain has had issue after issue after issue. I’ve only had a few OK experiences at this Dealership, the others have been awful. This last occurrence, I had to have my truck towed 4+ hours to the dealership. It took them a couple weeks to even be able to look at it, then had to wait a week or so for warranty approval, then order parts, then actually make the repairs. By the time I was able to actually find a ride to go retrieve my truck, it was there for over 6 weeks. So it’s not like I was rushing them. I get it ALL the way home (4.5 hours) and discover they didn’t repair an obvious and significant differential fluid leak!!!! Part of the problem I reported in the first place was leaking fluid!! But they only replaced a pinion and rack. (And replaced a part in my A/C that had been previously back ordered). I can’t have my truck towed again and be without it for weeks and weeks again!! I’m so incredibly frustrated.Report
Drago and Mark made the entire process and buying experience from the comfort of my home in the interior, painless. My experience with them was great and I would recommend them to anyone. They made sure I was completely taken care of and everything was very simple- thank you both for going above and beyond for me and my family- we surely do appreciate you both.Report
This place always throws out lowball offers on vehicles and does not do well with working with people. Wouldn’t recommend going here for a vehicle.Report
I have leased one and purchased two vehicles from here, but after my last service experience I don’t think I’ll be back. This service department has friendly enough people, but it’s similar to having a friendly surgeon who you like, but doesn’t know how to perform the surgery so you’re ultimately screwed. Read on if you want to know what happened, or just take my words and avoid their service.Report
I brought in a car to have serviced - I was told to bring it the same day I called and that they would look at it. No word that evening, no word the next day even though their service department texted me saying, “Hey we are here for you let us know if you have any questions blah blah blah.” I texted and called the number, leaving voice mails, multiple times and no response. I was finally able to speak to someone the next day (after being put on hold for 25 minutes..) and they told me they didn’t have the authority to check on the status of my vehicle… called the next day and SAME THING - I’m sorry, only *insert name can check the status. Finally on the third day I spoke to my service person and he told me they had not even LOOKED at the car… He told me to hang tight that they would look at it soon.. finally on the fifth day I went into the dealership and the same guy apologized and said they hadn’t looked at the car. So for almost almost the entire week my car was there and hadn’t been looked at, and I didn’t receive a single update or notice without calling or actually going to the service desk…sigh. I had to arrange rides for my kid’s school and never knew when they would look at my car to even DX it!!! Finally they told me if I needed the car I ciuld take it back home bc they weren’t sure when they could look at it - then they mentioned I’d have to wait in line all over again when I brought it back. This was perhaps the worst customer service experience I’ve had in my life and I legit have not seen this level of disorganization and incompetence in a very long time.
Also, while I was there some guy had winter tires put on and they never told him when it was finished and then he asked where his old tires were and they tried to blame it on him saying “usually the customer tells us if they want us to save the tires”.
I typically only write positive reviews, but this one was so bad I felt like it was my duty to warn others what they could possibly expect here. 0/10.
2 stars bc I’m not a total A.
Donovan is an exceptional salesman.Report
