Not a patron experience, but I thought this worthy of sharing no less. My students and I were honored in connection with one of the generous community partnerships at Allen Samuels. More than a photo op, Don (the GM, of all people) and Cris brought AND served lunch to our class! If they'll go to work for others like this in our community, I'm sure they will at the lot, too.Report
stopped in one day to look at a used dodge challenger. the salesman saw me looking at it, introduced himself and we test drove a 2020 charger at a fair price. signed paperwork and had the car in less then 2 hours. they are a great group of salesmen and technical car gurus, true car salesman whisperers they are. they gave me some donuts and coffee while watching a prince documentary on the tube while waiting their at their lot. even filled the car up with $2.80 cent gas and also gave me a ride to home. i would most likely use again in the future sometime .CLAY BReport
Bought a uncut key and remote for my Ram truck, had no luck at Ace Hardware, Allen Samuels cut my key and gave me the factory programming code! Safe yourself the trouble and go straight to them.Report
Dave was great at finding a car for us and what we wanted. We received the car on a Saturday and drove it home. When we got home the check engine light came on and some of the cars features were not working. We took it back on that Monday to have the check engine light checked and tires to be rotated. They rotated the tires and while doing so they said the brakes and rotors needed replaced because they were missed in the certified preowned inspection. They then informed us that the car had to be taken to Lawerence Ks Kia to be fixed. Once there they had to update the car and change a o2 sensor that was bad as well. It has now been a week since we purchased this car and have only had it a day and a half of that time. We were supposed to get it back on Friday and now are being told it won’t be till Monday which will make it a week since it has been back at the dealer. I will say that they have allowed us to use a loner car that we had to put a credit card on file, show our driver license, and insurance again to even receive the car. I guess this is so that if this loaner car is damaged we can pay for that as well.Report
Update: It is now Monday and we are told that our car is still not done and that it should be done on Wednesday. By the way this is a 2019 Kia Sorento not a super expensive but expensive enough that we shouldn’t be having these kind of issues to take over a week to fix.
Update 2: Car was going to be returned on Tuesday. It is now going back to Kia in Lawrence as the issue with the gps and clock still is not resolved.

I would avoid this dealership at all costs. The service department is a joke. Tyler the service manager is worthless. I’ve ordered parts twice and both times was told the parts were ordered when they actually weren’t. Had an oil change and tire rotation done here as well, got the vehicle home and checked the oil and the oil change and rotation were never completed. Warranty issues still aren’t resolved on my truck even after multiple attempts to fix it. I went to the dealership to talk to someone face to face and Tyler took zero responsibility and acted like it was my fault that his service department is abysmal. He never offered any solution and got hostile. He acted like I had no reason to be frustrated with their lack of communication. I won’t even consider stepping foot on this lot again and neither should anyone else, mainly due to the incompetence of Tyler the service manager. Don’t expect anything more than absolute trash of a service department.Report

A couple of months ago, I purchased a used vehicle form Jose Gomez at Allen Samuels. I found a few items of concern after the sale and contacted Jose promptly about the matter. He communicated my concerns to management. They in turn contacted me and had me bring my vehicle in to fix the items in question and provided me a new loaner. Things went very smoothly so I want to compliment Jose, Tom, and Tyler in service for taking care of us. It is rare these days to find a dealer who goes above and beyond after the sale. Jose was especially helpful and very professional. I would trade there again!Report
