About Kwaske Construction

In 1921 Leonard Kwaske started his construction company, he had worked for his fathers construction company in Poland. He and his wife Frances had 8 sons and 4 daughters the boys, Ed, Gene, Ernie, Jerry, Ralph, Hank, Tony and Ken were all brought up in the family business. From the 8 sons, (4) of them became General Contractors; Gene, Ernie, Jerry, and Hank, they started on their own in 1968. Two of the boys, Ernie & Hank also became Architects.

Ernie married Mary Helen Kuhl, they have 4 sons and 7 daughters. Ernie has many talents, they include General Contractor, Architect, Structural Engineer, and Gentleman Farmer. Steve, as the oldest picked up the trades at his fathers knee at a very early age.

After Lumen Christi high school Steve worked at Commonwealth & Associates, on nuclear, fossil and hydro power plants, after Commonwealth's downsizing he returned to he family business. In 1988 he married Carol Walzak, they have 4 children and as the children got older, Carol started helping in the family business with Steve. They have always looked to the family's heritage and want to maintain the reputation of quality. They do this by taking courses sanctioned by; American Institute of Architects, Society of Professional Engineers, International Building Codes / International Residential Codes. By educating themselves and those who work with them in the best techniques and best materials. They are able to back there work with the best warranties possible, and take pride in doing a job right the first time
