Dr. Jesse Hofer is a dentist who believes in treating individuals with a ground up approach. Dr. Hofer believes that close attention should be paid to the periodontium (supporting structures of teeth) to avoid tooth-loss in adulthood along with prevention and treatment of the teeth themselves. He has a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and he received his specialty residency in periodontics from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. For those teeth that cannot be saved, Dr. Hofer offers implant replacement options and places about 500 implants/year. Originally from California and Utah, Dr. Hofer lives on Long Island, and he took over the practice from Dr. Herbst in 2014. Dr. Hofer scored in the top 1% on the national in-service examination administered by the American Academy of Periodontics. He's a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and Hambletonian Study Club. Dr. Hofer takes time to listen carefully to individual concerns of patients and aims to tailor treatment according to individual conditions instead of trying to implement a "one size fits all" approach.
Dr. Hofer is associated with the American Academy of Periodontics, the American Dental Association, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. During his free time, Dr. Hofer enjoys the outdoors, tennis, playing the guitar, and musical production.
