Jackson Marriott

The Air Conditioning was broken - in the entire building and yet they were still accepting reservations. I was informed only at checkin. Also - the parking garage has no secuirty. No one at the booth and the exit arm was permanently up. Unbelievable this is a Marriott. Do not stay here.

Air conditioning not working, didn't feel safe in the area

My wife and I stayed exclusively at Marriott's while driving across the US (CA to GA). This was the only Marriott that fell short. Little to no AC, only local channels, did I mention no AC in June? Granted they were under staffed due to COVID-19, but I felt like we got hotel-jacked. Just close the doors rather than providing substandard services.

The staff were nice and accommodating. However the rooms were dirty. First room, the bathroom had someone’s hair in it. They moved us to another room without delay. This room had someone else’s socks near the window, a stained bed skirt and dust on one side of the bed indicating it had not been vacuumed. This is not only disturbing at the best of times, but, during COVID-19 times, this should not have been the case. We brought our own Clorox Wipes and were able to sanitize properly. This is very poor standard for a Marriott property. Because of the state of the room, I didn’t even want to look at what breakfast had to offer. This is a disguised mess by the look of the marble lobby. If I had been less tired, we would have left the hotel and asked for a refund.

I had a great time here, the staff were very polite and very generous. Definitely made my experience at Jackson worth it. The gym is nicely kept and the pool right outside of the gym is great for swimming laps. Last, the convenience of a small shopping center connected to the hotel helped tremendously.

This historic hotel is in the heart of downtown Jackson Mississippi.

Parking was a bit pricey for that area. The common lobby area and meeting rooms were beautifully decorated. Nice little gym next to the roof top pool.

Manager on duty Saturday afternoon June 6 wasn't very friendly. No name tag and mask. She even got upset that I went to the dining cafe for salt and pepper.

Perhaps when Hilton officially takes ownership the tub and toilet in the rooms will be updated. We bought Clorox and bleach but the stains didn't come out. AC wasn't working properly so we only stayed one night in that dirty sweat box.

Nice hotel and friendly staff.

Stayed one night during this pandemic. The AC left much to be desired. No parking attendant, no parking slip given and they still charged me for parking when I didn't even bring a vehicle to the property. Called about a refund and was told that the accountant would have to take care of it. Not good business, Marriott.

Hotel was very nice clean and staff was excellent unfortunately the air did not work in my room called the desk and they said it was a problem on my floor but didn’t offer to move my room
