Not impressed! First, the IHG app suggest a parking ramp across the street, so I parked there and took the sky across to the hotel side. Well once on the hotel side there is no clear and visible signage on how to get to the hotel lobby. So I took the elevator down to ground level, only to be trapped in some lobby, couldn't get out the doors to the street (locked), elevators wouldn't go back up without a key card, stairwell doors were locked! I sat on hold for 13 min. waiting for the hotel operator to help out of this lobby, finally, she told me the wheelchair door button overrides the locks and will let me out to the street. Then I get my room and it's not what I booked, I travel solo 90% of the time and I always book a king bed (mainly cause I am a 6'3" guy), I get to my room and its a double queen crammed into a little closet of a room. The app asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a corner king suite, which I clicked "yes" and agreed to pay the extra charge, but I got no upgrade! My app also said this room I did not book was a "river view" room, yeah, if I stood on my tippy toes and cranked my head to the right side I could almost see the river over the roof of the hotel! Will I stay again? Not unless it's the only choice left!Report
We stayed at the InterContinental in St. Paul MN for my work holiday party which was held at the hotel. Everything from arrival to departure was excellent. We used the valet staff to park and they helped unload our car and when it was time to go, we had a minimal wait time for our car to return to a very convenient spot right in front. The rooms were clean and quiet, the beds very comfortable.Report

During my 2 night stay not a single employee was seen wearing a mask nor did they enforce it. I was literally the only person that wore a mask. The parking garage is closed due to construction so the only choices you're given is valet, which is parked on the street at a higher price or park a block away in another garage and walk. Something they should advertise on their site....it certainly would have made me choose another property to stay at had I known. After 2 nights I had to check out and move to the Intercontinental MSP.... night and day difference between the two properties. The only positive about this hotel is the location in downtown St Paul and comfort of the bed. I cannot recommend this hotel.Report
