It offers ten cores, configured in a hybrid style that allows six of those cores to run at a higher clock rate while four cores focus on efficiency. The six performance cores allow multithreading, giving you a respectable total of sixteen threads possible.
You’ll also get a very snappy base clock rate on the performance cores of 3.7GHz, with a boost rate of 4.9GHz for those times you need just a little more. This processor has some of the best multi-core performance available, and it does so for a lower price than the competition.

Add ReviewIntel did a terrific job with their Core i5-12600K, offering up one the best gaming CPUs around. It has ten cores, divided up into six multithreading performance cores and four single-thread efficient cores. All those cores combine to provide amazing multi-core performance. And Intel priced it at a point that beats out all the competition.
It’s not without its flaws, though. For one, the UHD 770 integrated graphics are just so-so. Graphics performance is underwhelming compared to the competing CPUs. Some DRM schemes used by games do not properly recognize this processor, making it incompatible, though fixes by the DRM vendors are coming. The Core i5-12600K is also more power hungry than the competing CPUs. It uses a new socket, meaning you can’t upgrade your current system by a simple CPU swap, you need a new motherboard as well.
