Very happy with my new energy system that was installed by Independent Energy Hawai'i. Desta and James were great to work with and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. I had been looking at installing a solar system for several years and chose Independent Energy because of the honest/no-hassle sales approach, quality/options of equipment offered, and excellent communication. I got 33 panels and two battery systems installed. Highly recommend Independent Energy to anyone looking for a solar system.
From the first call until the final panel was installed, I have been very impressed by my experience with Independent Energy. We had been talking about getting Solar for a long time, but it always seemed too expensive. Finally I got a few quotes, and these guys' quote came back a little more than half the next best one. It sounded too good to be true, but these guys are the real deal. Took care of all the HECO paperwork and city permits, all their contractor licenses and insurance is all above board. I don't know how they price so competitively, but they did not cut any corners on my installation.
I also had an excellent experience with their customer service side. Desta knows his stuff through and through, and was even able to answer my technical and legal questions accurately and without hesitation. (other companies representatives would struggle with the difference between a kWh and a kW). I had a lot of questions, and all were addressed. He even walked me through the calculation they use to maximize the state subsidy and provided me the statute to back it up.
I could go on, but you get the gist. If you're looking to have solar installed on your property and are looking for value without sacrificing quality, Independent Energy has you covered.

Great service. They came to our house to give us an estimate and explained everything we needed to know. They were also very kind and professional. Some places just tried giving us phone quotes without even coming out. I would recommend these guys to anyone.
