There are multiple reasons why I love Impact church. At the top of my list are the pastor’s and attendees genuineness and authenticity. I can see Jesus shining through not only words, but also actions. They are the most real “church people”(without a phony front) I have met in a long while. The pastors show genuine care and concern for their members. They take time to learn about you and ask for your prayer needs outside of Sunday services. They respond to communication even outside of Sunday service. I feel cared for.
As a single mom who is not real connected in the area (as I moved here just before the pandemic), I have found community in this group. I do not see cliques as all are accepted and welcome to not only services, but also outside gatherings. Participation in church, activities, and ministry opportunities are encouraged. Impact is not the building itself as they aim “to be the church”.
They have a phrase that “tattoos are welcome” I would like to add from my perception “quirks are welcome”. ???? I love that there is freedom to be yourself in the church without the passing of judgement.

I recently switched to this church within the last few months from a larger church. I've actually been to three larger churches in the past 12 years trying to find a forever home, if you will. A forever home where all are welcome, they love their neighbor, and the church isn't full of cliques(diversity being a plus.) My husband and I had been looking for quite some time as we were unhappy with the aforementioned previous churches. I decided to visit as the pastor's wife was an acquaintance from a community page in our local city on Facebook. All of the posts I had seen coming from this church were positive and uplifting. Therefore, I decided after 4 years of searching, to give Impact Church a chance. I had never been to a church that was relatively new and building/growing their congregation. My childhood church was Baptist in WV and old, plus the next 3 were well established(Impact being my 5th church in almost 44 years.) I have actually really liked that about Impact as you don't get lost in the crowd or become a number in the pew. There is a sense of community, and the Pastor and his wife(Jeremy and Andrea) seem to really care about people at church and spend time with members outside of services whether it be at events, such as the zoo or Franklin Park Conservatory, outreach, youth groups, Bible studies, or in their own home. They also give a percentage of all tithes back to the community for various needs when they arise such as food, gas, etc. For the needy.
I haven't even made mention of Sunday services yet. I attended alone the first couple times to try it out and since then, I have taken my husband and children. The people at church are friendly, down to earth, and approachable. I never feel like anyone is left out nor have I experienced cliques. The church welcomes all from various walks of life and they welcome diversity. My husband is very introverted and thus far, he has liked the message, the leadership, and congregation. Pastor Jeremy's sermons are interesting, with a sense of humor, relateable, and easy to apply to our life outside church. He's down to earth, doesn't pretend to be perfect,q and reminds us that we all fall short, including him while teaching that Christ loves us and how we can be more like our heavenly father.
My kids love the Sunday morning classes for children after communion, in which all are invited to partake. I mean, my kids lost it Easter Sunday when they had a story about Jesus sacrificing his life for ours and the glow in the dark easter egg hunt complete with black lights. It's been days now and they are still talking about it. They look forward to returning to Sunday school weekly as they love the stories and activities. That's all I can ask for, an environment that makes my children interested in Christ and keeping it fun at the same time. I should mention that my kids have mild autism diagnoses and I've had no issue getting them to attend and my oldest has dyslexia and she hasn't felt left out with her reading ability issues. That has also been wonderful as well and their Sunday evening youth programs feed the kiddos and entertain while teaching the gospel.
In conclusion, I've been happy the last couple months and really wanted to make mention of a positive experience. I would definitely recommend Impact Church and would tell all to try it out. You won't be disappointed.

Impact Church is one of the friendliest church's I've ever been apart of! I feel so at home. Pastor Jeremy, always has a great message! It is a bible believing, message giving church! Pastor Jeremy is so connected with his congregation, and truly concerned about what you maybe going thru. The church works toward being a place that outreaches the community. They do a great job of shining their light!
