Pancakes were a little dry, the waitress wasn't that busy but relayed on the host to do her job. In which the host seemed new and didnt know what to do. So service suffered for it.Report

I was sadly disappointed with ihop this morning. It wasn't particularly crowded, the service was ok, slow, but not bad, not great, average I'd say. My 8 year old grandson wanted to try it, and since I can't refuse him, we checked it out. He had cinnamon pancakes, and I ordered eggs benedict. The poached eggs for the benedict were completely done. Not even slightly runny. That's just wrong. There wasn't enough hollandaise sauce either. Now my grandson liked the pancakes, and we had already been there around 30 minutes, and I didn't want to return my dish and wait around again, so I just didn't finish my dish. Later when the waitress came back around, she asked how it was, and I told her it wasn't good at all, but that it was on the chef, not her. She didn't offer to make it right, or give me a discount. She just gave me the check. I could have asked for a discount, but by then I really just wanted to get out of there. I did give her a tip, because maybe she was new, or overworked. But I will stick to waffle house from now on. It's cheaper, faster, and the food is betterReport
