IANNUZZI and IANNUZZI was founded in New York City in 1930, specializing in litigation, criminal defense, and substantial appellate work in both the civil and criminal areas. Over time, due to the firm's many newsworthy cases and outstanding legal victories, the Firm garnered a following of diverse clientele in the both New York State and the surrounding Metropolitan Area, as well as the respect of the New York Bar.

Beginning in the 1960s and continuing to today, Iannuzzi and Iannuzzi achieved both national and international acclaim, establishing corresponding offices abroad in Rome, Italy, Montreal, Canada, Beijing, China, and the Bahamas; and nationally in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Westport, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C.

The current senior partner, John Nicholas Iannuzzi, is a highly regarded trial lawyer who has handled more homicide cases in New York than any other practicing attorney. He has been recognized in the Who's Who in American Law since the publication's inception, and by Who's Who in the World for many years. Mr. Iannuzzi is, in addition, an author of both novels and law textbooks, as well as a former professor at Fordham Law School in New York City.
