About Home Helpers and Direct Link
As our name suggests, we serve as an extra set of hands around the house. Whether someone is coming home from the hospital or a rehabilitation center or is living at home, we provide non-medical support that helps make everyday life a little easier.
Costs are per hour and determined by the number of hours that you need us. For some clients, costs of services may be covered by funding through Office of Aging, veteran's benefits, or private, long term care insurance. Contact your local Office of Aging, Veteran's Affairs, or your insurance agent for more details. We are available by the hour, for the day, or for longer term, around-the-clock care.

We offer a free in-home consultation so that we can get to know you and your family. We hand pick our caregivers so that one-to-one time is important to us. Our professional staff is insured and bonded and undergoes a thorough background review.
As an added layer of support, we offer Direct Link personal emergency alert system. If you have seen the television commercial where the older woman says, “I've fallen and I can't get up†you understand the value of the Direct Link unit. Again, we feel that personal connection is important, so we visit your home, install the unit and demonstrate how it works. The monthly monitoring fee is about a dollar a day and there is a one-time-only installation and set-up fee. For each six months of monitoring that is prepaid, we'll give the seventh month free of charge. There is no long-term contract. Our clients tell us that Direct Link is affordable and that they have peace of mind knowing that emergency help is never more than minutes away.
