No restaurant available. Bag breakfast, which was very nice and the staff at breakfast was very kind. Addional info provided by staff was not always factual. Shuttle service was inconsistent.

I decided to stay at this location over the Holiday Inn Express across the street because, this location has a bar. I would come to regret that decision.
There is an older gentleman who is a local and is at the bar every night. He is loud, rude, obnoxious, and not pleasant to be around. He completely ruined my night and my stay. I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express across the street for the remainder of my time in Southgate. I would suggest that you do the same.

There was only 1 hanger in the room. There was only 1 lamp in the room which made it very dark. There were long hairs in the one set of towels. The tile floor in the entry to the room was sticky. The refrigerator was very loud. The room never got very warm despite the heat running constantly. There were marks and scratches on all the walls. There were stains on the chair and luggage holder. The tub faucet and drain were corroding. The only nice thing in the room were the beds. I would not return, it is in massive need of upgrading and deep cleaning.

Positive: Nothing at all besides the staff. Negative: No heat in 1st room¿. Switched us to second room that looked like it had blood stains on the curtains & on the wall in bathroom. First room we were assigned was on a hallway that was not heated. (36 degrees outside/about 50 in the hallways) entered our room to find the heater there did not work. Moved to 2nd room. Also in a different area of hotel that was not heated. Room was slightly warmer than hallway and heater was on but barely blowing warm air. Called front desk again and they had someone turn the heat on in that wing of the building. 1am toilet overflowed and flooded our room. Moved to 3rd room. Rooms were dirty. Blood splattered on curtains and walls in one room. Cold coffee in lobby upon checkout to complete our wonderful stay. Never again at this hotel.
