Holiday Inn Portsmouth

We are checked in last night on a Saturday and thinking to have a relaxing stay and recover from one day of travel, but our sleep was disturbed due to drilling on a Sunday morning approximately at 9:30 on the floor above us. We called the front desk and request the drilling to stop since it is a Sunday and it is 9:30. However, the drill didn't stop but continue further. We are not inform that there are renovations and it would be directly above us. No manager available at the property and no one can give us an explanation. We are very disappointed at Holiday Inn brand.

Went here to give blood for the American Red Cross blood drive every 8 weeks. The hotel is very accommodating to them for putting the driver on. It is very clean and well kept up.

Not bad. I've never been a big HIE person but this location was not bad. Its under renovation which means that you will hear the construction starting around 8 am. The remodeled rooms are nice, the employees were polite and the room comfortable.

Hands down the best hotel experience you can ask for. Over the last two years, I have been staying here roughly once per month for my job, with a regional company. James, the head chef of the restaurant and also an attendant of the front desk, is one of the friendliest people you can meet - no matter the time of day or night. The rest of the staff displays the same attitude. To any staff who sees this - thank you all for all that you do! And if a higher manager sees this - please give these folks a raise! ?

Great service, but outdated furnishings. The hotel needs an upgrade in its amenities.

My sister and I had the best time in this hotel! We enjoyed for the most part, every aspect of the adventure. We wish we could have enjoyed the pool area, but we didn't have the energy. All in all, the hotel was fantastic. We loved it!!!

The beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. They were doing construction right above our room. I found this inconvenient since it was a holiday weekend.

Would recommend and stay here any time I am in the area. Have stayed several times and no issues and customer service is great and helpful. Centrally located to shopping and dining.
