Holiday Inn Express Evanston

Truckers Beware!!!! The hotel is fine....the stafff....awful!!! Been here so many times and when I come I get 4 to 6 rooms at a time. They.... I guess have a new manager that thinks she's the hotel police. This lady called my husband....while he was loaded on a government secured load and went off on him for a government/ state discount. Needless to say...I told her you Either accept it or not at check in.....you don't call people and get crazy....I will never stay here again!! ?

I sincerely apologize that you had such a poor experience during your stay at our hotel. I will be addressing this matter with our front desk staff today to make sure this kind of incident happens again to anyone. Great breakfast great morning staff the afternoon staff not so great horrible attitude and not helpful

Very clean and quite. Staff was excellent and extremely friendly. If I'm ever back here I will definitely stay here.

Do not waste your time with this hotel! I made this reservation online using my points - I am a club member! They were rude from when I walked through the door! We had 4 adults and a baby - we had been driving for 16 hrs and when I made the reservation I made a mistake and put 3 adults and 1 child - so when I get there I tell her we have 4 adults and a baby - she says oh well we can't let 5 people to a room - I said he's a baby he sleeps with his mom and dad (he just turned a year old) they refused to let me upgrade to a suit - which was available 5 min before when I booked the room outside of their hotel! Then she informed me they don't make any money when we use points so they would not accommodate us - oh and someone suddenly rented the room! I have never been treated like this before - no one would help me not even corporate- they said the hotels have the right to make that decision - it was horrible! So my son slept in a cold car all night and it got down to 20 degrees!!! I don not stay at this hotel!!! The USB plugs in the rooms did not work - the breakfast was nasty- and the room were nasty!!!

I am so sorry if our front desk agent was not tactful when letting you know that the room type you booked would not accommodate the number of people in your party. These policies are put into place for the safety of our guests in the event that the hotel has to be evacuated. The safety of our guests is our highest priorities and we are not flexible on our max occupancy per room for that reason. We only have a couple of suites in our hotel that can accommodate that many people and unfortunately they were already booked so we could not upgrade you to. You then stated that your son could sleep in the motor home you were traveling in. I do apologize that 1 out of the 10 USB ports in your room was not working, and I appreciate you bringing that to our attention. You did not at any time during your stay mention that you were unhappy with the cleanliness of your room only said the USB port did not work, we would have moved you to a different room had you mentioned that at any time during your stay. Positive: General Manager is very nice. Nice pool area. Rooms are nice. Negative: Some of the front desk staff are a little surly.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great variety for breakfast. Hot Tub and Pool both are very nice. Front desk is very helpful.

Desk agent was efficient and fast getting me checked in, very helpful. Very quiet property on this night and the bed was heavenly.

I've read a lot of reviews and this is a very nice motel as most agree with. Super clean. Good food. Comfortable beds. Quiet. Wish the pool had been open later, but that is about normal, so I don't fault them.
