Enjoyable stay. The staff what helpful and welcoming. The site is close to the freeway, so noise can't be avoided. The pool was open and inviting. Breakfast was okay, not great, but as good as can be expected in this grab and go style. I particularly appreciate the efforts to protect our health during this pandemic... Corporate policies go beyond local and state requirements.

only complaint I can come up with is the lighting is a bit dim, although there are plenty of lights. all the bulbs seem dim, especially in the sitting area between the bathroom and beds.
Great service at front desk, breakfast and housekeeping. excellent breakfast as always at Holiday Inn Express.

Room was nice and clean, great bed.. but... If your on the south side of the building be prepared for constant freeway noise. If your from a city you may not even notice it, being from the country where the only thing you hear all night is the occasional cow bellerin, it was a bit much.
The breakfast was terrible, one of the worst I have had in a hotel. The hot items were cold and the quality was sub par.
"Due to Covid the hot tub is closed".... Really? Every other hotel we have stayed at in Idaho they are open.
Also if you are in the camp about wearing masks, this hotel is for you. One of the reasons we visit Idaho so much (from Oregon) is to get away from all the non sense and relax in a free state for a while... Well don't expect that at this particular hotel.

We are in the process of selling our house and needed to find a place to stay for a few nights that would allow our 2 dogs. I chose to book a room with this hotel because I thought that it would be slightly quieter than another hotel we had considered because it was further away from a very busy road. When checking in, the front desk attendant had me sign a form for the pets and as I was signing it, was talking to me and mentioned a $30/night pet fee. Nothing was said about it being PER pet. And I never received a copy of this form, so I didn't even think it would be an issue. The room that I had booked wasn't available so she put us in a different "pet" room. The room that we were given had some runs in the carpet, some staining on the couch, there were marks all over the bathroom walls, there was some really bad silicone work around the bathroom tiles and the bathtub really was not the cleanest. But we sort of figured that since it was a pet room, it wasn't going to be the fanciest...and we'd just roll with it. We tried the breakfast and discovered that most of the food was cold and hard. So we didn't even eat there on any of the other mornings. The curtains in the window don't shut all the way. There's only a blind that blocks out the light but it does not do a very good job. It was super noisy as the room faced the interstate, so we heard all of the road noise all night long. On the last night that we were there, there was a family staying in a room above us. We have kids and we know that kids run, play, make noises, etc. but the noise was excessive and lasted for hours. My husband had a headache and the noise wasn't helping. It was also creating some anxiety in our dogs. We have worked with our dogs so they didn't make hardly any noise, didn't bark a lot while we were there. But the noise from the room above was making them nervous. So I finally went to the front desk to ask them to address the issue. I stood in front of the front desk for about 15-20 minutes until someone finally showed up. When I talked to the front desk attendant about the noise issue, she seemed like I was a bother to her. However, the noise did minimize quite a bit soon after. The next morning, I looked at our bill for our stay and noticed that the total was wayyyyy more than expected and they charge me more than what I was told for the pet fee. So I went back to the front desk and told the front desk attendants that I had some questions about my bill. I asked about the pet fee and the same front desk attendant from the night before told me that I had two dogs and that I had signed a form that it was $30/night per pet. She grabbed a folder behind her, pulled out the form and slapped it down on the counter and pointed out that I signed it. I couldn't argue that point. But I was not happy with how rude she was about it. I also told her that I didn't have a copy of the form so I didn't know because all I remembered being told was that it was $30/night pet fee. I was not happy and I did tell them that I would never be staying there again and that it was not worth what I paid to stay in the worst room in the hotel. I will admit that I probably could have handled it better on my side. But it was 6am and I was cranky after not getting any good rest the entire time I stayed there and then seeing the bill really put me over the edge.

Excellent facility.
Availability to reach to site by phone/e-mail, etc. unsatisfactory.
Reservation system too easily open to shyster organizations when making a reservation on-line through what appears to be a Holiday Inn Express web site.
