Dr Jeffrey Chew is a fantastic orthopaedic surgeon. I am 44 this year and was diagnosed with Perthes disease as a child. As a result, I had a deformed left hip bone and left leg that is 2cm shorter. I had been walking with a slight limp for 30+ years. Despite the hip issues, I tried to stay active and was an avid cyclist. However, back in late 2020, I started experiencing severe hip pains and even walking short distances became a problem. I spoke to a few orthopaedic surgeon before deciding on Dr Jeffrey Chew to help me with my procedure. The reason I chose him was his vast experience in the total hip replacement and he is also an expert in Makoplasty Robotic surgery. I had my surgery in early September and the procedure was life-changing. The relief from my previous hip pain was immediate and my left leg is now equal length to my right! My recovery was somewhat amazing as well. I can walk on the 2nd day with a walker and when I discharge on day 4 I can even climb stairs unassisted. By week 4, I am back on my bicycle. Today (31 October 2021) is 7 weeks after my surgery and I managed to cycle 65km.

I had a serious case of Metatarsalgia from my daily jogging last week. The ball of my foot was inflamed, resulting in excruciating pain. The swelling was so bad that I limped into Dr Jeffrey Chew's clinic. He was very reassuring and administered a Hydrocortisone injection that almost immediately reduced the pain by 50%. The anti-inflammatory drugs prescribed helped to relieve the pain further. I look forward to resuming my active lifestyle again soon, thanks to the expertise and empathy of Dr Chew. He was truly a Godsend in my time of need.

I am a 62 year old English, Singaporean PR, having been fortunate to live in Singapore since 2001. I consider myself as Singlish.
In my younger days I was an avid rugby player. At 19 I played for the Yorkshire Colts and was selected for the national squad. My club rugby was with Headingley, in Leeds.
I have always enjoyed been physically active and maintained a reasonable level of fitness. I consider not been able to enjoy physical challenges to be a serious deterioration in the quality of my life.
I first met Dr Jeffery Chew when I slipped a disc in 2016. I was on contract in KL at the time, but chose to struggle back to my home in Singapore, rather than seek local treatment.
I went immediately from the airport, to what is today Parkway hospital. Within the hour I had been x-rayed, scanned and admitted to the ward. Shortly after arriving on the ward I met Dr Jeffery Chew. It quickly became obvious that I had been fortunate in my hospital selection, as Dr Jeffery was an excellent physician and I was in the best of care.
I received traction treatment and with in a week back walking around and two weeks back at work.
A few years later my wife was running in the local park and fell whilst negotiating a flight of stairs, breaking her collar bone.
I immediate sort out Dr Jeffery. Her collar bone had two breaks and needed to have a metal support fitted.
The procedure was a complete success, my wife was back on her feet in a matter of days.
In 2019 there was an obvious deterioration in my right hip. Pain was evident with any lateral hip movement or whilst climbing a number of stairs. Dr. Jeffery recommend an immediate hip replacement. I had the operation on the 15 August 2019. On the 16 August I was walking using a zimmer frame and a week later, unaided. 6-weeks later my scars had all healed and I was back doing my normal exercise regime.
On the 30-June-2021, I circumnavigated Singapore on a mountain bicycle, covering a distance of 130km.

For most of my life I have lived with the pain and instability of my left knee. I had repeatedly been told that I needed to wait to have knee replacement surgery until I reached a certain age. Once I reached that age, a friend recommended Dr. Jeffrey Chew. She stated he would be pragmatic, straightforward and professional with his diagnosis and he was.

During the process leading up to surgery, Dr. Chew's team was outstanding. They were helpful and informative. Dr. Chew thoroughly explained the process (he even had slides that helped visually show what would happen). Knowing that he and his anesthesiologist had worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester also helped ease my mind. The surgery and post recovery went smoothly. His team was attentive to my needs and helped me smoothly transition out of the hospital to being on my own.

I am now 11 weeks post surgery and not only living pain free, but also doing activities I have not done in years. I have a new knee and a new lease on life. I highly recommend visiting Dr. Chew if you are experiencing any knee pain. He can help you.

I was recommended Dr. Jeffrey Chew by a colleague and it was probably the best recommendation I’ve ever received. I found Dr. Chew to be both professional and thorough in his explanations of both procedure and recovery. I have seen orthopedic doctors in the past, but have never received the same level of care with which Dr. Chew has provided me. He has proven to me that doctors can be both efficient and caring at the same time. Dr. Chew explained exactly what he would accomplish in the operation and even allowed me to video record his explanation while he demonstrated the procedure using model knee structures. He takes his time with his patients, listens to their concerns and maintains his goal of making patients feel comfortable while providing clear expectations.

Without a doubt Dr. Jeffery Chew is one of the best doctors I had ever met. He is not only professional and skillful, he goes out of his way to ensure that I receive the best treatment possible. His nurses are also extremely professional, skillful and tactful when dealing with patients. They ensure that all patients are treated with love and utmost care even when Dr. Chew is not present. I would like to personally commend Dr. Jeffery Chew, Myla, Esther and all his other staff for all the care and support that they had provided me. It is greatly appreciated.

I was recommended Dr Jeffrey from another surgeon in SG. I am resident in Korea and couldn’t travel. We had a video conference to decide on treatment.
Dr Jeffrey and his team were fantastic. They organised all my necessary passes and visas to allow me entry to Singapore. They were efficient and supportive to get me here
My surgery at Norvena was quite complex but the entire team briefed me fully on what would happen, and kept me informed at all times.
As my family could not travel with me , Dr Jeffrey texted them regularly to keep them informed

Dr Jeffrey communicates daily even outside office hours and you can ask him dumb questions and he will answer helpfully and quickly

2.5 weeks after the surgery I feel better than I have in several years and Dr Jeffrey and his team all have been fantastic through the whole journey. Travelling alone from Korea to Singapore has really been worth it. Well done all
