About H.B. Culpeppers

H.B. Culpeppers was established in May, 1981 by partners Harry Spielman (H) and Ben Bruns (B). In Jan. of 1997 H.B. Culpeppers expanded into the former Indiana Floral location. Many of the pictures and relics displayed on the walls were transferred to Culpeppers with the 1981 closing of the Atlantic Lunch. Culpepper's Upper Deck Sports Bar opened for business in Jan. 2009. The project involved the renovation of 10 second story office spaces into a bar/lounge and game area.

The did was done quickly. My husband's burger was cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. My stromboli was delicious too. And the waitress was wonderful.

The exterior said little of what was inside. A limited menu and very few tap beers. The barmaid was more concerned about her nails and cleaning out her eyes than taking orders and being cordial. Our server was pleasant, a redeeming quality because the food was mediocre. We ordered a portobello sandwich and it was the smallest I have ever seen! I ordered a steak salad which had chunks or chewy meat and fries that were soggy and barely cooked but still inedible. Very little to no dressing.
I had also ordered an appetizer which was brought out after our entrees were served… all in all don't waste your time or money!
