I was wrongfully arrested for a DUI on Super Bowl evening. It was a routine accident that resulted in a single car crash. Though I was injured concussed, the police conducted their investigation. Assuming I was under the influence. From the time I met with Justin, he sat down in his conference room, went over all the facts that I gave him. Everything matched what was given via discovery as well. from the minute I signed with him he assured me this was a slam dunk winnable case, and would do his best to get everything resolved in my favor. Though it took nearly a year to get resolved through numerous continuances, once he was able to speak to the district attorney days before we were set to go to trial, he let out his dog mentality. Went to them telling them they had insufficient evidence, lack of probable cause for the arrest and that in his professional opinion, the field sobriety test were done in the normal ranges. Prior to trial I was offered a standard deal for DUI offenders, but he was able to get the DUI completely dismissed, and I was just given traffic citations for the accident. Hands-down, one of the most cut through and ruthless attorneys you’re going to meet when it comes to negotiation skills and dealing with prosecutors in judges. His knowledge for criminal laws as well as DUI laws is by far the best in the metro Atlanta area. Days before I was going to trial I thought I was just going to accept a mediocre deal offered by the district attorney, but he was able to turn that into a slam dunk win for me and my family. I cannot be more happy and pleased with his representation. Anytime I needed anything he was a phone call or text away. He was able to guide me through the entire process good and bad and alleviate the need for me going to any court dates of the one in which I had to plead guilty to some citations, all in all, I would highly recommend him if you are in any kind of jam such as I was in .

Justin is great. He is on mine and my family’s speed dial if anything should come up. He’s always responsive and ready to help you out when times are the tough and you have your back against the wall. Every case with him has resulted in a positive outcome.

This firm, Karley Corbin specifically, helped me tremendously. Very straight forward and no false expectations. I was never left wondering what was going on. If I had a question, Karley was always easy to get in touch with and if I had to leave a message, she was quick to respond. Timely communication is key in any situation. I initially was given a Super-Speeder ticket as well as a reckless driving ticket. I came here for help and Karley Corbin provided. As a result, my punishment was reduced to just a regular ticket. My reckless driving ticket was also removed. Karley Corbin was very efficient and clear with communication.

Life seems to be throwing extra punches these days. Everything that should be easy is impossibly challenging.
I live in California and recently had to help a family member that lives In Georgia whom ended up in some serious trouble. Thanks to one insanely manipulative, vindictive and all around horrifically scary female. Once in Jail he ended up with a public defender. We had a horrible experience with their office trying to get any information on how to submit helpful documentation to help this case. They refused help and were extremely unprofessional, left us baffled. Little did they know the person they were speaking with was his uncle who is a Judge . He was so infuriated with them and is considering reporting them to the Georgia bar association.
Desperate for help I started calling law offices. Spoke with a few different lawyers but how do you pick someone from the sea of lawyers.
Hawkins Spizman Fortas is one of the firms that came up in my search I called and explained the situation . Got a call from David shortly after. He offered to go to the dentition center the next day and he did. At this point the family member had already been detained for over 30 days. The firm was extremely accommodating in working out a payment plan. David got to work on the case right away, helped us get paper work signed and notarize in order for me to deal with things on the outside. He was able to negotiate a deal with the prosecutors office quickly and had the case resolved in no time. Meanwhile we found out the only thing the public defender had done is set up a bail hearing which was pointless since even if we paid bail there was a probation hold on him . Which meant he would still be detained until picked up by us marshals. We took the plea deal and were done with that portion of the nightmare.
I called David every day for a month! He always picked up the phone and if he couldn’t he let me know and got back to me right away and did.

Moral of the story a compassionate lawyer that is dedicated to his clients and on top of his game, makes all the difference in the world ! David is that guy!

Mike Hawkins is outstanding. All charges dropped when it seamed impossible! What’s more, he was exceptionally responsive, kind, warm, and just a good man whom I feel I could immediately trust. He had my best interest in heart and mind, and made me. He communicated clearly each detail and everything I needed to expect before entering the court, making me feel assured that he’s got this. But in court went from puppy dog to papa shark! He caught right and fought well for me, doing the impossible. I’m so grateful. I loved working with him as well as my previous lawyer, Mike’s partner , Scott Fortas. I’m grateful to the both of them and would highly recommend them as lawyers.
