Great experience to have, the instructors were super friendly, I learnt lots, in genral thought it was the best money I spent. You got heaps of turns surfing, the instructors kept you safe out in the water, and helped correct you until you were able to stand up and catch a waveReport
Terrific surf class!Report
It was my first time surfing, and I stood up three times. I had a great time and would highly recommend. I felt safe the whole time.

Hans Hedemann Surf School was the most amazing experience for me. I had my very first surf lesson. My instructor was so friendly, knowledgeable and very patient with me .i enjoyed myself so much i went for lessons 2 hours. It really was the best time of my life. I was enjoying my vacation visiting from Myanmar. Mahalo .
I went to Waikiki and decided to take a surf lesson. I looked online and found Hans Hedemann Surfing school. I signed up online and also picked the photo package. I entered the surf shop which was very nice and greeted by the store manager who was very pleasant. I had surfed many years ago and was rather excited. We watched a safety video and off to the beach. Charlie a pro had us paddle around the jetty to get to the waves which was exhausting! Once out the inner waves were not real strong so getting up was not easy. After try after try I only could get up on my knees. So no photos of me standing. But the bad part was while falling I hit my head on a coral and started to bleed. I also cut up my knees also. I was too tired to pull myself up onto the board. My wife on shore and many others were alarmed at my situation. I hung onto my board going nowhere. My wife took video of the happenings, I thought for sure I was going to drown. Then the 2nd instructor (forgot his name) nice Asian guy towed me in and saved me. He dropped me off on the beach. No one checked on me and my head ached the rest of my vacation. Everyone I told was appalled at the way they talk about safety yet don’t practice it. I didn’t ask for a refund which would have been nice.Report
