Hi everyone, I'm Thao! I was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I am a wife, mother of a 10 year old son and a dog mom to two little Yorkies. I have a passion for all things Disney and all things hair extensions. My passion for hair extensions started in high school when I purchased my first set of clip-in hair extensions. I always longed to have long, thick hair but like many other women, was unable to attain such length and density naturally. I received my first extension certification while in cosmetology school where I learned different methods of installing hair, from I-Tip to machine wefted hair with beads. I loved all things hair extensions but always had an issue with finding a method that I, myself, liked to wear in my own hair. My first love was Tape-in extensions but struggled with being able to wear my hair up in anything other than a low ponytail without the tapes being visible. Washing was not exactly an easy feat either, since tapes are dispersed throughout the head. Flash forward to 2018 when "hand-tied extension" entered the spotlight. Salons on the West Coast were creating these beautiful, thick heads of hair that were absolutely breath-taking, but were these hand-tied methods safe for a clients hair and scalp? After all, it was A LOT of hair on someone's head. In 2019, I came across a company named Invisible Bead Extensions. They pride themselves in being the safest and most comfortable method on the market to install hand-tied hair and the best thing yet, the beads that would normally be visible when hair is pulled up, were completely undetectable! I knew I had to jump on the opportunity to learn this new revolutionizing method that gave clients the hair of their dreams without sacrificing the health of clients' hair and scalp. after months of contemplation, I decided to go all in and finally received my certification through the company and it has been a whirlwind of adventure ever since! After countless hours, days, weeks and months of hard work, I received the title I.B.E. Elite Artist in 2021 and from there have worked my up and am now an Invisible Bead Extensions Platform Artist and Master Educator in the company. When I am not behind the chair at Locks + Mane, you can find me at Disney World. After all, it is the Happiest Place on Earth and if I could, I would live at Disney and eat all the snacks, eat all the food and drink all the drinks.
