Guy Brothers Roofing

A lead generator for Apex roofing identified hail damage on my roof about 2 1/2 years ago and referred me to Apex for a roof replacement. I went along with this process but after Apex replaced the roof, I had a persistent leak. They sent people out 3 times, but never got better. The leak was on my screened-in porch. Covid hit and I was frustrated with Apex, so I didn't pursue further as they were not responding. Then, I had another contractor come out and try to repair it, which was also unsuccessful.

I finally but the bullet and decided that I needed to get this finally resolved. I solicited three bids. Apex, because they knew the job. No interest and a bid that was 4x what I paid Guy Brothers.They told me there would be no guarantee - replace some shingles and go… A small independent roofer bid a little less than 2x Guy Brothers.

I didn't choose Guy Brothers because they were the cheapest. I received two very strong recommendations from people I trust. They completed the repair in one day. Impeccable clean up afterwards. The following week, a small leak persisted. They reassessed, and repaired in less than a week.
Josh Smith, a manger, was professional, courteous, and excellent communication. I recommend this company without reservation. I wish I had castles them first. I suggest you do.

The overall process took a while, but I understand there's lots of shortages of everything, and we're in a very busy roofing area so we completely understand.

Kenji was awesome through the whole process and was very clear in his communication with us. We appreciate the work done and while we hopefully won't have to have a new roof for a while, we'll go with them again if we need to.

My husband contacted Guy Brothers last week for a quote on a new roof. Appointment was scheduled for today at 9am, however he didn't show up for the appointment & finally called at 1015am to see if he could still come out to give us a quote. Denver came out & quoted us & I informed him we were getting 3 quotes before making a decision. He scoffed at this, but I explained we were paying for the roof & not our insurance unless I could get my policy changed to "replacement value". He was aware another company was on their way to give us a quote too. He left & sent us a quote & asked if we could come to the office to check financing options (after I also said I wanted to avoid financing if possible). Knowing my husband had an appointment and would be out of pocket for that, he sent 2 text asking if we were coming, which my husband did not immediately respond to bc he wasn't available and I also was talking to my insurance company about changing my policy to a replacement policy & awaiting their response. Before my husband had an opportunity to respond to tell him this, Denver sent another text (all within a hour and a half) telling my husband to remove Guy Brothers from our potential list of companies. What upsets me the most is that as a business, he found it acceptable to no call, no show for the appointment yet found it unacceptable we were unable to respond immediately when we made sure he was fully informed of our schedule. All of this transpired in one afternoon & the pressure he put on us to make an immediate decision speaks volumes about how the business (& probably their work) is conducted.

They came out and looked at the roof and gave us a quote that was a little higher than most, but we needed a roof for our insurance was going to cancel and they came recommended. The reviews looked good. Now for the BAD part, They said they they were going to lay traps down to catch everything, They did lay them down, but it was like my 3 year old did it. To be frank, most house premier was not even covered Then they took them up the next day when installing the roof (Stuff was still falling). Now, I was told that they were going to use a magnet to get anything they missed - THEY DID NOT DO THIS and I found at least 300+ nails the first day and I keep finding them. I have also popped a lawn tractor tire. I know to expect some of this, but call someone else YOU will be happier in the end. There are many people that can put on a roof. I thought I was paying for high quality and that goes for both side of the job.

Every aspect of our experience with Guy Brothers Roofing was one of excellence. The project manager, Josh Smith, was professional and respectful, genuinely interested in our specific requests and needs, and committed to the details of the project. He was available and responsive to all questions during each phase of the process. The gentlemen who did the roofing work were detail-focused, efficient, skillful, punctual, and very thorough. I would recommend this company highly due to their dependability, honesty, professionalism, and excellent craftmanship.

Guy Brothers is one of the easiest companies I've worked with in this area. Followed through on every detail and were very timely getting to project and completion. Now have a beautiful new roof.
