About Gundlach Bundschu Winery
Gundlach Bundschu (aka Gun Bun) is a sixth-generation winery with a fun flair. We are the oldest family-owned and operated winery in California, located in just outside the town of Sonoma. Known as an “estate driven†winery, we produce wine mostly from grapes we grow ourselves - Bordeaux reds and cool-climate varietal wines. Our wines are available throughout the United States but not very easy to find. Far from the stuffy wine world, GB prides itself on having serious wine without attitude. We are involved in the music scene, host concerts and music festivals at the winery and create unique collateral. Creative, innovative design is a very important part of our image and marketing strategy.

The oldest family-owned winery in CA, we specialize in making distinctive estate grown wines and sharing them and our property in a warm, fun, unpretentious manner.
Our intimate tasting room gets pretty full on weekends! We recommend making an appointment in advance for a vineyard tour, private cave tasting, or seated courtyard tasting, details and reservations at gunbun.com/visit. Groups of 8 or more always need an appointment.
We are best known for our Cabernet, Merlot, and Pinot Noir, but also are sought out for our limited production wines: Dry Gewurztraminer, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo.
