A member of my family spent some time at this facility. I was very disappointed. No help what so ever. Please if you have a loved one in need of help consider any place other than green leaf.

I am only giving this place one star because Zero is not an option! I had a family member as a patient here. She vomited on the floor the first night she was admitted and no one came to check on her. I brought the vomit in the floor to the nurses attention that morning and nobody cleaned it up until the next night. The staff is extremely rude!! They are understaffed. I was worried for my loved one's safety while they were there.

My 17 year son was in your facility twice 9/21/21 and 10/10/21 for aggressive and suicidal tendencies. 9/23/21 he was admitted and was discharged with 20 mg of Paxil. Not once did I speak with a doctor. My son was allowed one phone call he was doing well foe about a week almost 2 weeks then he would wake up all hours of the night go through our kitchen drawers. Second admission he was aggressive angited and extremely compulsive and suicidal. He was declared a 10-13. Lowndes County sheriff's department declared him that and so did the ER doctor. Once again one phone call per night the employee handling the phone calls was extremely rude matter fact all your staff was. Especially the case manager who gave us less then 24 hours notice of his discharge. She wouldn't all us to push it to the following Monday so we can have a family for his safety plan and medications. She threatened to call dfcs if I didn't pick him on that Saturday. When arrived there was nobody at the desk nobody checking temperatures . We were told no visits due to cov I d. When the desk person finally showed up we were allowed in by nursing staff. Nobody bother to tell me my son had a nasty cough or even advised me of how bad his cutting was. He was covered with lacerations on both arms and one leg. He didn't have a mask on. He was advised that once their masks broke they didn't get a new one. Nobody ever told me how his cutting was or how serve they were. Next day he had an extremely high heart rate an 101.0 with this nasty cough. He will never ever go to your facility again. What the hell are you running over there a prison. A place we thought was going protect our son from self harm no way did your staff keep him from cutting himself with his fingernails. Never again will he go back to your facility. He is now scared to death getyingbin patient treatment for his mental illness. I worked in medical field as an EMT for many years we were always understaffed. But we were responsible and liable for our patients safety. Epic failure on your staff. I wish I could give you a zero. My son's social anxiety so worst now then before. Hell I wouldn't send my worst enemy to your facility and thank you for making my son worst.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!! I do not recommend this place to any in need of help, if anything it will just make you worse! So sad that they do not care more about the patients that need help. I would give 0 stars if I could

Please if you have any choice at all do not go to this place or send a loved one.My son who suffers from bipolar 1 was taken there in a manic state by ambulance because no beds were available anywhere else.There were a couple of nurses who were kind and seemed like they really did care other than that honestly nothing good to say about this place.Also he went in wearing an expensive pair of ray ban eyeglasses and came out without them and can't see well at all.He was taken to emergency room for stitches on his finger.He was there for over two weeks and came out the same if not worse.I pleaded with them on the phone to keep him longer because he was still not in a good state.I was told that he has improved and was being released the next day by lunch.He got out on a Thursday still in a manic state and left our home Saturday living out of his car basically in the streets with us unable to contact him.It's very hard having an adult child who struggles with mental illness and it only makes matters worse when a facility doesn't care.

I'm only giving this place one star because of the therapists and technicians that work directly with the people in their care. This place is a disgrace. The place is filthy and when it gets mentioned to the cleaning staff they either don't clean it or do half the job. I've never been in a facility like this before and it was very disheartening to see how people are treated by the doctors and nurse practitioners. We were lied to constantly or just told I don't know. You are kept in there much longer than is warranted for the level of care you receive. I didn't feel safe or like anyone even cared aside from the technicians.

My son is in there and They are giving him meds that he's already tried, took the meds that he has been on and not listening to him we he tells them he is having side effects from the meds. Nobody has contacted me. I have called without getting a nurse on the phone. I don't mind taking this review down if I get some communication regarding the situation.

At Green Leaf at least I was given a private bathroom and shower. we were allowed to stay in our rooms during the day. Some outside recreation was provided but there was no therapy available ever. The psychiatrist only came at the beginning to sort out meds.Meals were a nightmare. One barely had time to eat before the next group appeared. Staff were competent but uncaring.

My 17 year old son Was admitted to your facility 9/21/21 for his first suicide attempt of trying to strangle himself. Staff wasn't the greatest, one nurse was nice.  His second admission was on 10/10/21 this time the sheriff's department I called from my home due to him threatening suicide of wrapping a plastic bag around his head and suffocating himself not to mention cutting himself.   The Lowndes County sheriff's department declared him a 10-13.  SGMC EMS transported him to sgmc for medical evaluation and then their EMS transported him back to your location. He was discharged on less than 24 hours notice by one of your social workers. He was still cutting himself on Monday his first night at your facility.   At the first admission he was given Paxil.  Then his social worker was giving me a hard time for not taking him to legacy.  I took him there as instructed by her after his first discharge. He was a basket case and he was so scared.  After being told they wanted all his vital records, birth certificate, ss card and proof of income made me and him very uncomfortable.   This second time again social worker got all angry with me when I asked to have his discharge date moved up until Monday and I already had a place in mind for him for meds and therapy again now threatened me if I didn't pick him up today 10/17/2021 she was going to call dfcs on me for abandonment.  I had no plans of doing that to my son.  Then knowing he was known for self injury of cutting himself.  Nobody appearly wasn't paying attention because he told me was cutting himself at your facility. Plus another patient was making him feel extremely uncomfortable by wanting to see his privates. I believe he was both physically and sexually assaulted. He is too scared to admit it. Your staff needs better communication skills with family of your patients.
